I can't believe.....

Have fun with this thread guys -

I can't believe that:

Paris Hilton's CD sold more copies than LB's

Anyone thinks Kate Moss is:
a. a beautiful woman
b. was 'cured' of her drugs problems in the 30 seconds she spent in rehab before returning to her modelling contracts

Heather Mills 'did not even consider' that Paul might have some money before she agreed to marry him (£850 million and counting)

Jacko is
a. the biological father of 3 blonde, blue eyed children
b. had a 'full' marriage wit Lisa Marie

Millions of Americans thought GW BUSH was an intelligent, viable choice not once but TWICE!

Tony Blair has got away with everything he has got away with

David and Sticktoria Beckham
a.believe they have what it takes to make it in Hollywood
b. have a happy marriage

OJ isn't in prison

Will think of some more later

DrummerDeanna 02-16-2007 03:35 PM

It's not butter!

That's the first thing that came to my head :p

Actually, I'm more shocked that people find her boyfriend attractive. Have you seen that guy?

gypsysoul 02-16-2007 04:21 PM

Ok, I can't believe that kate Moss (or anyone) finds Pete Doherty attractive
and that Doherty isn't in jail!

I think Kate Moss can look plain but when she's on the catwalk she always looks amazing. There's definitely something about her that is beautiful.

Like many models she comes to life for the camera. She photographs very well.
In person, however, she is wholly unremarkable to the point that I stood next to her for ten minutes once and simply didn't register who she was (and I usually recognize even the most obscure zelebrities).

I used to edit a magazine and met many models whom I would have passed without a second glance in the street but ended up putting on the cover because put them in front of a camera and they'd turn into real sirens.
On the other hand, girls who were beautiful in the flesh usually came out quite bland in photographs.

I did that once.. I worked at a garage in London a few years ago and Kate Winslet came in to get her Jeep looked at.. she told me what was wrong with it and I took the keys etc, but I didn't recognise her, to the extent that I asked her name when I was logging it on the comp.... To her credit, she didn't bat an eyelid that I didn't recognise her  Very friendly girl :) Swears a lot.

I can't believe that an article I wrote for my school paper (Feb issue came out today) has the superintendent of my district looking into policy and curriculum changes already. :D

I can't believe how annoying my waiter at the Outback was tonight.

I can't believe that it's 11:30 at night and I'm on the Ledge.

well, maybe I can believe that one

Oh god, aren't their waiters obnoxious sometimes? What is it about Outback? One time I almost got into a fight with one over noodles.

I was ready to scream. There's acting friendly and then there's acting like you just fell out of Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood. The guy told us not only his family history (Mama Disensario would never let us eat our pasta with forks because back when Papa Disensario was a boy...) but he also let us know just how thrilled he was that he had the chance to be our waiter...three times.

-__________- I'm sorry for you.

All that has to be said about my experience is that the words "I don't care, I just want THE ****ING NOODLES, OKAY?!" were uttered.

 I think obnoxious is high among the list of characteristics they want in employees. Oh and tonight's waiter was also the type who felt the need to correct you if you didn't use the "correct" term for your order. I wanted fries, I ordered fries. "Oh, you mean the Aussie Chips?"

No, I didn't mean the Aussie Chips. I've known my dear friend Lux long enough to know what chips are in Australia and Outback's french fries do not qualify. Kthankxbye.

Did I ever tell you the pointless story about how I wasn't allowed to eat spaghetti with a fork? Because you have to eat it with a fork and spoon. And you may get grounded if you cut it. Just saying. Oh, and I'm so thrilled to be your ledge waiter this evening...

Seriously, my mom would get disgusted and *possibly* leave the table if I cut my spaghetti, instead of twirling it against my spoon with my fork. When Mama Vicario was a girl, blah blah blah blah!  So, apparently, this whole fork/noodle thing is very real if you are Italian. I've heard weird rules about Rigatoni and meatballs and pepperoni, too. For fricks sake, it's all just pasta, greasy meat, and cheese. How exact could it be? lol.

But seriously, I hate overly communicative waiters. Next time you should probably pop a cap in his as*.

The chips thing kind of chaps my ass. But I forgive them by remembering 'The Bloomin' Onion.' Nothing more delicious has been set in front of me than that which smells so bad.

That was pretty much my plan, the only problem is I think he might have an informative story for me on just how I should go about it. If it got to that, I might have to pop a cap in myself first to end the misery.

True. And he'd probably tell you how to do it while eating a nice Penne, the right way.

See, that lesson I could actually use. I'm from a family without a drop of Italian blood and I can honestly say I've never had a Penne in my life.

I haven't really, either, they only do that in restaurants. We only had spaghetti, lasagna, and rigatoni. So, here's the rules: The lasagna should only have cheese and sauce and meat, you can't cut your spaghetti, and rigatoni should have both meatballs and chunks of pepperoni. That's all I know.

...people actually give a **** that some trashy popstar decided to shave her head. Sure, you expect to see something about it in gossip rags like US Weekly, but to see it on nationally broadcast news programs and in the regular newspapers is just beyond ridiculous.
