What's for dessert?
Well? If you had to choose 1, which would you choose? And don't f*cking ask me "Did I have a big dinner? Do I have to pay for it? Is it baked or toasted? Why aren't scones on there?"
Just pick one & give your specifics in your post. :D Please & thanks. |
What, no cereal?
I usually have a bowl of Frosted Flakes, or a Reese cup. |
^ I usually have a mini PB cup too. But if given the choice of all, I'd probably go for brownies. But they have to be chewy, not cake-like. No frosting, but nuts are OK. I could eat half a pan of brownies, I'll bet.
At a restaurant, I usually pick a chocolate peanut butter pie or something similar - the richer the better. I rarely like cake, although I do make a kickass chocolate Kahlua cake from scratch. And Wegman's marble cake with rasberry filling & real whipped cream frosting is always good. But run of the mill store-bought birthday cake, or cake from a mix? I usually don't bother. |
pie.
because it's pie, and pie is just good. hell yeah. chocolate pie. mmm. cold pie.. or hot pie.. with ice cream. meringue. flaky crust. graham crust. it's all good. cheesecake is a close 2nd, if it's even on the list. a little bit of icing is okay, but generally, i'm tired of cake after a couple bites. |
My choice is always cheesecake!
|
Brownies. But I'm with ya, they have to be chewy. I do NOT like cake-like Brownies. Frosting is ok, nuts I can do without.
When I make brownies at home (rare) I usually pull them out of the oven before they're done. That's how gooey I like them...and I love the dough. The runner-up is cookies, which also have to be soft and preferrably gooey. Chocolate chip is my favorite. I don't like hard cookies... |
Warm chewy brownies. A little homemade frosting doesn't hurt, but that's about all. No nuts, no powdered sugar, just brownie me.
An honorable mention goes to freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. :) |
Are we talking deserts made with natural ingredients here or something from Otis Spunkmyer :D
WHO LOVES YA BABY!!!!!! |

Seriously, I meant to put it on there. Guess you'll all have to choose other & describe your favorite cheesecake goodness. :sorry: |
Cheesecake should have been there instead of Jello. Jello isn't really a dessert. :p
...I'm KIDDING people...just to clarify before I get essays about what makes Jello a dessert. |
Eh. I'm more of a "meat and potatoes" kinda girl. That's why i have a "meat and potatoes" booty  with that said-i can destroy a triple chocolate meltdown from applebee's

And I prefer the chocolate lava cake at Chili's. I hate Chili's but that cake is to die for. |
Quote:
BTW...why do you hate chilis? That, imo, is like the best chain restaurant...ever! |
Quote:
Why do I hate Chili's? Well the food never much appealed to me, the burgers aren't great and I was always annoyed that I couldn't get American Cheese on my burger  Have I mentioned how picky I am? Basically though I'm not a big fan of those chain restaurants...Applebees, Chili's, it's all the same to me...though I do have to say I am a fan of Ruby Tuesday's :D |
^ I hate Applebees. I've never had good food there - of course, I've only been there twice, but since I hated it both times I'm not about to go back. Didn't like Ruby's either, but they just opened up a new on here & we had a coupon, so we went. The service was a tad slow, but not a big deal, we didn't complain. For some reason, the waitress offered us the salad bar & a free dessert to make up for it. Like I said, we had no problem with the place, but who am I to turn down free food? I may have to go back to Ruby's.
I prefer TGIFriday's & Chili's. |

I've found from experience new restaurants in general are never that good. And I went to a new Ruby's over Christmas break and it was AWFUL. But I hear it's gotten better... The ones in Rochester were fabulous. Mostly I love the salad bar...I never had their desserts...but I'm sure they're fine. But Applebees - blah. And it's my grandparents favorite restaurant, so every time I visit them I'm forced to go there...blech. |

If so I may give them another chance one day - but as Christy can back up - I am a cheese nazi when it comes to burgers - and I do not like cheddar for cheeseburgers....at all. |

I rarely eat dessert.
But when I do, it's a toss up between creme brulee or banana's foster. Damn, that just made me hungry! rbs |

If you could pick whatever you wanted. Jerk. And beer is more of a side dish for me, as opposed to a dessert. :p I suppose I should have put in after dinner drink (amaretto, Frangelico, etc.) or ice wine. Goddammit. Well, pick other people! Quote:

Okay, if I have to choose I'll go with pudding. Only chocolate pudding though. I can tolerate ice cream also, but I don't ever, ever have desert. It's a waste of stomach space when there is all that delicious other food around. I don't really like sweet things.

When I eat out I sometimes order an Irish Coffee after dinner. Delish. |
^^^^ ooo, Irish coffee is totally good! I'll have to have some of that, soon, I'd forgotten about it.

I like cake, which could easily include ice cream, too, so it was a natural choice, 2 in one and all that. What I usually have is little debbie or a candybar. Though not necessarily for dessert per se...more like whenever I feel like it... |
