Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

I came to work this morning and had a bouquet of flowers and a small box of chocolates sitting on my desk from one of the guys here.... he does it every year, and I think it's the sweetest thing.

If it weren't for him, I'd get nothing at all!

What a good idea. The kids have had some extra squeezes today so I think the cat deserves some too!

I'll probably get a card from my grandmother and maybe some candy or something from my dad, but that's it.

All of the ladies that I work with gave me candy and chocolates. My favorite co-worker, Sylvia, gave me a rose. So sweet!

Since I just broke up with the dude I was seeing, I asked Patrick, my best friend, if he'd be my Valentine. He's single too, so he said sure.
Tonight we are going to a small, dark and romantic Italian place called Delores Del Rio down on the Riverwalk. It's a hidden little gem of a place, with delicious food. They also have a four piece band. When the band takes a break, a belly dancer comes and dances around the tables!!
I'm excited, I think we'll have a blast.

Oh yeah, I always take care of myself on Valentines Day. I buy myself chocolates. I will be my Valentine if no one else, right? I'm probly the best Valentine anyway. ;) :lol:

I went grocery shopping Mon. nite. I always buy myself fresh flowers whenever I shop, but this time, I bought an extra big bouquet. I also got some strawberries and enjoyed a few of those last nite. With chocolate, of course.

I bought Debbie sugar-free chocolates (She's a diabetic) and a stuffed Valentine's animal. She's not into romantic stuff, jewerly or flowers (The flowers she likes are black roses, which are hard to find around here in poseurland.)

It's snowing like crazy over here in Jersey...can't even go out and treat myself to a little something...I was going to take a lady friend of mine to Rod the Bod too:D

I don't "do" Valentine's Day. Candy makes me fat, flowers die, cards get tossed into the garbage. I know it's not very romantic, but it's the realist in me. OK, it's actually the cheapskate in me. :lol:

We both agree not to do anything, so it's cool. Same with Sweetest Day - I don't know what's up with that bull**** holiday. We will have a nice dinner at home tonight, though - steak, baked potato & veggies.

I hate this holiday - always have. But, I woke up to a call from my boyfriend wishing me a good one, and it was basically the sweetest thing ever. So, Valentine's Day 2007 is pretty rad so far.

One would think it was fourth of July at my work - food booths, DJ, etc. I bought a slice of Pizza and a frappacino for a $1 :D
I recd flowers today from sweets...and ettajames tickets from a co-worker...a good day and it is only 11:30am! :xoxo:

Wanted to share this...

One of my oldest friends, Christina, got a cute surprise yesterday. When she went outside yesterday morning to go to work, her husband had filled her Lexus with red balloons and on one side of the car had written in shoe polish "LOVERS FOREVER" and on the other side, "FACE TO FACE"!
And when she got to her office, two dozen red roses were waiting for her on her desk! He did good! And she was, of course, thrilled.

Kris and I had a wonderful 1st Valentines. We both had to work until 7, so went had a late 4 course meal at Cafe Bacchus here in Morgantown. He had the duck and I had venison. Dessert was to die for.

We we got home, I fell asleep on the futon and he puked all night. :laugh:

SOunds like a great dinner! That must be one of the niceer places there.:nod:

Well, if you go, don't have the duck.

I took a few bites of his duck and didnt get sick.
