So I was informed this morning that I may get to interview Lily Tomlin when she's in town next month.

She's coming in to do her one woman show...and everyone on staff knows I'm a huge fan...so this morning management called and said they've been asked if we want to do an interview with her.

Of course, we're a public radio station and this isn't overly "newsy" so the news director and senior news staffer are discussing whether or not it's something we should do...but they said if we do decide to do it..it's MINE!

So anyway...I'm really excited, hope it happens because a) I love her and b) it'd be a great notch on my interviewing belt...

So cross those fingers for me...or wish me luck or whatever...yea!

Now - the actual interview may be a phoner..but talking with management and such will make it that much easier for me to get backstage after the show...or at least that's what I'm being told...if she's actually in the state before her show - it may be a face to face thing....

I'm really hoping for you! I love her. What an awesome opportunity.

just kidding...but this weekend I do have to think of what I'd genuinely ask her..and then put together a proposal of what I'd do with the interview if we decide to do it.

Well sitting on my desk right now is the contact info for Lily Tomlin's assistant who is supposedly the point person to set up an interview time. Looks like it will be a phone interview, but I'm hoping to get in on some meet and greet action or something the night of her performances :)

I'm way nervous...but luckily I've got lots of support here at work!
