Ruddy hell.. we have snow!

It's a pretty big deal for us to get snow as well! The kids are happy

HomerMcvie 02-08-2007 04:27 AM

Probably like "bloody", as in "very", or "****godamn!" or "my god!" or something.

Congrats on your snow, I hope y'all can drive in it. I think snow is scary, but it is also very pretty and fun.

sara1998 02-08-2007 07:31 AM

Well, I can't complain like Chris and Deanna can, but I have more snow right now then I care to have! There's about 6 inches on the ground. I'm sick of it already.

Hope you enjoy it Pip. I know you don't get it often!

danax6 02-08-2007 07:56 AM

It's normal that we get snow here in the winter, but with the high temperatures these past few years we didn't get our hopes up. It started snowing last night though. :D Here in the south there's not a whole lot yet, but they did put up warnings and adviced people to try to hit the roads as less as possible today in the middle and northern parts of the country. Lots of snow.

Mari 02-08-2007 08:39 AM

Not much here, yet.. though it might come soon:blob1:

Remember last year? had a thick pack of it, in March.

bretonbanquet 02-08-2007 09:44 AM

Plenty of it in West London  Getting kinda sick of people falling off the road though - I've already had someone sliding across my bows on a roundabout  Stay at home if you can't hack it, folks

Oh yes, and then we had a heatwave in October.

It's all white over here. Beautiful. In my new four store house I can watch over the riverbanks, it's f*cking gorgeous. I'm gonna build a snowman NOW...

with my son and his friends. I LOVE winter. But only when it's winter....LIKE NOW!

:blob2:

gldstwmn 02-08-2007 10:44 AM

Hope you get just enough to make it pretty and not a pain. Enjoy!

I'm jealous. It just started raining here and it washed away all the snow. I love winter only when it's snowing. I live on the edge of a big forest, so when it's snowing it's beautiful. I'll take pictures if we get snow again this week.

When it's not snowing, I long for summer. I hate rain, I hate wind, I hate the cold.

Monday was 65 degrees here so I got out and chopped the ice in my driveway. I was out there for a good hour plus with a garden shovel breaking it into huge blocks (like 6 inches thick) and throwing them like I was in the shot put on to the sunny side of the lawn where they'd melt. Great exercise. Hence my need for a hot bath and some vicodin later. My neck did not like it. :distress:
Oh, the weather here today? 30 degrees and foggy. And of course, it's supposed to snow this weekend. I may have to go the the hardware store and buy new shovels. I've worn the garden shovel down to where there's no point to it. The metal is literally flat instead of coming to a point like it should.

How much snow did you get in England? I just heard a forecast stating parts of NY could get up to 100 inches of snow. That is just insane and I hope that forecast is wrong!

Those are such cool pics - I really like Holland, such a nice country with nice people  But most Brits only ever go to Amsterdam

:D Actually, not so much this time. Don't get me worng, we've got snow, there's probably over a foot on the ground (and it's still colder than a witch's tit....) but that's par for the course around here - the smaller towns south of Buffalo toward the PA line are really getting slammed. Frequent white-out conditions, very windy, several feet of snow on the ground down there. I think Rochester's geeint dumped on pretty bad too.

You should go! Liverpool is a nice city. I remember I had a bad idea of it until I actually went there. Pleasant surprise  And I'm sure the MMT is just great
