Crystal Visions Tour setlist question
It's Monday, so we can have another thread about Stevie's setlist. :D
I'm guessing that if there are any "surprises" in Stevie's setlist for her Crystal Visions Tour featuring Chris Eye Sack, they will be songs from her upcoming CD that she hasn't performed in a while. Below are songs from CV that haven't been performed since at least the TISL tour (plus Silver Springs, which has never been performed solo and Leather and Lace which she only does with DH these days). Which of these do you think might make it into the setlist? I Can't Wait Silver Springs Rooms On Fire Talk To Me Planets Of The Universe Leather & Lace |
My guess:
Talk To Me, but even that is a long shot. |

Possibly RoF, PotU or TTM. But that's a big maybe. I think out of those 3, PotU will be the most likely, although it hasn't been a hit. But it's the 'easiest' to pull off for her and she has done it fairly recently.
She can't, and hopefully won't, do Silver Springs without Lindsey. |

No chance. Because the original was heavily steeped in production, I doubt she'd even attempt it in concert again. Silver Springs Extremely slim... I can't see Stevie doing this song solo. It just seems like a "Fleetwood Mac song" to me. But then again, so did Beautiful Child. Unless there is a specific reason to do this song (e.g. Lindsey makes a cameo), it's not going to happen. Rooms On Fire Possible... This one comes around from time to time, depending on her mood. Talk To Me Slim... Unless she hires a musician who can play sax, she won't do it. I think in her mind, the sax is an integral part of the song. No sax. No Talk. Planets Of The Universe Slim... She didn't have much confidence in this song during the TISL. I'd be very surprised if it surfaced this spring. Leather & Lace Slim... She's done this without Don in the past, but I don't think she'd attempt it today without him. It's a package deal. |

You just made my day. |
I would love TTM - but she is scared, and somewhat justifiably so, of going to the high notes that make that song. I would love for her to do Bella Donna, which she could pull off because she has the girls to do the high harmonies, which are half of the song.

Waddy told some Ledgies in Vegas this past December that Rooms on Fire is gone for good. :( I don't think he specified why, just implied that she's too emotional about it. Of course, that's not to say she won't change her mind. She did with Sara... ;)
I'd like Talk To Me, and I think she could do a damn good version despite all the theories that it's too hard for her to sing in current voice. I don't know if she'd agree with me, though, at least not every night. :D |

She will add Leather and Lace (with Isaak) and mayyyyybe Talk To Me. I wish shed do Rooms on Fire, its a quiet fave of mine, but highly doubtful.

She's never done a show that long! I think it's going to be: CHRIS EYE SACK'S SET: Solitary Man Wicked Game Don't Make Me Dream About You STEVIE'S SET: Outside the Rain Dreams Enchanted Rhiannon Gold Dust Woman Sorcerer Stand Back Stop Draggin' my Heart Around (w/ Chris Eye Sack) It's Late (w/ Chris Eye Sack) Landslide Edge of Seventeen Rock and Roll Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You [all-star finale/jam of classic song] So it'll be a couple of surprises, but, unfortunately, the same tired setlist. :distress: |

I like the two voices tour format, I hope she and Chris will do the same thing.
this is bothering me now.Is this tour coming up now, is Stevie's or Chris's did Chris invited Stevie to come tour with him. or the other way around. I'm still wondering about that.the set list could get tweeked a bit with some songs we've haven't heard live in a long time,or heard at all live . I agree on that. |

Seriously, I am up for a metting somewhere fun. If she plays NYC, I could do that, though I am Jonesing for a Cali trip. We'll see though! |

Realistically, she won't play Buffalo. Not at the shed here, anyway, it has something to do with concert promoters or some crap. She hasn't set foot in Buffalo since 1986. It sucks because it's usually pretty cheap to fly here & it's cheap cheap cheap to eat & play, I'd love it if we could do a Ledgie hang out here. |
Has this already been posted? From Chris Eye Sack's website. I'm glad the tour starts on West Coast for once!!
Stevie Nicks and Chris Isaak will be on tour together this summer. Look for dates to be announced shortly. The tour will start on the west coast in mid-May and will go through the end of June. Edit: and I'd be up for an East Coast get together. |

I saw them do it together on some CMT special and Gretchen didn't hit a single right note. Ann sounded a little ragged, but at least she was singing it in the right key. |

I actually like Gretchen, but her voice sounded tiny, thin, and silly next to Ann. |
