It is Stevie, doing what Stevie loves, before the trappings of fame totally influenced her. I.E., singing with a band live. It is that simple. But there is a purity of spirit and performance here that I think we have rarely seen, even for Stevie. It was a very small window of time where Stevie could perform how she felt like, without having to think of external things, like her huge band, and all the fame, and her image, and blah blah blah. Just Stevie and her voice and her love of collaberation, and her natural exuberant performer spirit.

it came from a VERY short lived comic strip called "the rock channel" from around '83-'84 or so, most likely trying to coat-tail on the new fad called Mtv. there was another with Stevie in it, I will post it later tonight.

this makes me wonder how come Stevie never presents on any awards shows. I guess maybe because while she's a huge star and celebrity, she's not really a huge star and celebrity...does that make sense?

^I'm sure she's been asked. Maybe too nervous to talk on national tv from a teleprompter? She barely speaks during her shows, let alone an awards show. :shrug:
