I hate when movies...

Are limited release. I have to go all the way to Missisauga to see For Your Consideration? And god knows where to see Snow Cake when it comes out?

None of the theaters around here are showing these movies! Blah. Just ignore me.

DrummerDeanna 12-13-2006 08:08 PM

Oh I hate that too....I miss this place in Rochester, "The Little Theater" because it showed a lot of the hard to find movies...here? NOthing. I'm sure in Denver there are places, but Denver is an hour away...so I feel your pain...

At least For Your Consideration was playing here...but it sucks that you can't see it - I'm dying to discuss it with a fellow Christopher Guest fan.

I neeeeed to see FYC. You know why. We can still discuss the other movies if you really need a fix.

I'm still looking up places to see these movies. I was so sure FYC would be at Silvercity, but it isn't listed. On the upside, I could go and see Stranger than Fiction for a second time...

DrummerDeanna 12-13-2006 08:24 PM

It's weird that FYC isn't playing, I thought it was out absolutely everywhere. Of course I had to see it at the crappiest theater - it was seriously a flashback to 1988...but at least I got to see it I guess...

Good luck!

I've not seen Stranger Than Fiction...it's not the highest on my list - I want to see The Holiday and then the Pursuit of Happyness :D

I know, I had no idea it was limited release. Laaaaaame. Pursuit of Happyness looks good, but it's something I can wait for to come out on DVD. I want to see The Queen, but again - who'd go with me? I could take my mom. lol.

DrummerDeanna 12-13-2006 08:41 PM

I didn't think it was in limited release...I'm suprised...that seems to strange to me. I don't know - Pursuit just looks reallygood and inspiring, I mean the damn trailer leaves me in tears...I can't wait for the movie...and I enjoy Will Smith (except for Fresh Prince, which I hate).

The Queen does look interesting...

Why take anyone? Can't you just go by yourself? I know some people don't like to go to movies by themselves...are you one of those folks?

LOL, plz! I love Fresh Prince. For it's cheesiness and the theme song, if nothing else.

Yeah, I guess I am. I've actually never gone to a movie by myself. I rarely see movies in theaters, but lately I've been entertaining the idea.

The theme song I enjoy - the show? Not so much...and believe me, I don't mind cheese...I mean I watch Full House every morning during my workout for cripes sake

Yeah - I used to be incapable of going to movies by myself, but it doesn't bother me anymore...but I also don't go very often at all. FYC was the first movie I'd seen in a long time...and I'll be seeing The Holiday with my mom in New Mexico (for free) so...yeah...mostly I rent movies...

Of course lately I've not rented anything new - I've just been all about the X-Files :D

yay XF!

 Full House. I just watched an episode last night... the one where DJ skips school to get Stacy Q's autograph...

I think for me it's more of an anxiety thing than anything. But yeah, unless an absolute *must*, then I just wait for stuff to come out so I can rent it. Like... I think the last COH movie I saw in theaters was Home Alone 2.

I got it seconds before you had to spell it out for me

goldustsongbird 12-13-2006 09:36 PM

^ I had to look at it again. Then I edited my post. Abrupt endings are not good... But fireworks are fine by me, mostly. Exploding bright things attract me.
