Are Stevie and Lindsey Still In Love???

So, this is the hot button issue.... We see them onstage together. How they look at each other and all of that. So here is the question. After all these years, are Lindsey and Stevie still in Love??? The question isn't asking if they love each other as in family, but if they in fact still have feelings for each other after all these years. Feel free to debate.....

Much Love,
Ethan

There is nothing in the world worse than a platform boot enema.

I heard Lindsey enjoys it.

Miss Vicky 12-06-2006 09:43 AM

Dude, it's totally a contrived act. And it works. Shippers flock. (Get a little closer to her Lindsey. The mics need to be closer! sayeth Mick)

Anyhoo, I don't doubt that there were still feelings in the first few years after the breakup. But 30 years, a wife, and three kids later? I'm a tad skeptical.

danax6 12-06-2006 10:53 AM

Ofcourse they are.

Peestie 12-06-2006 12:21 PM

Nah, seems likely to me.

shackin'up 12-06-2006 06:01 PM

yes. they love eachother so friggin'much it hurts. madly in love and can't get enough of eachother. that's why they share so much time together in the studio and they constantly tour.

sodascouts 12-06-2006 11:05 PM

I guess it depends on how you define "in love." I think that there is a kind of love that never really goes away, and I think they share that love. That doesn't mean I think that Lindsey is about to leave his wife for Stevie or that he doesn't love his wife. I just think Lindsey and Stevie have a bond that goes deeper than friendship and is still what I call love.

Of course, none of us can know for sure what is in their hearts - you're not going to catch me claiming that I know for a fact that Lindsey does/does not have feelings for Stevie.

sasja 12-07-2006 12:51 AM

Same poll you already posted on Seven Wonders?

Why is this a question? Who cares?

But: No.

Ethan, just again some gentle advice hun: mostly adults here. (Well I guess anything is relative, but still :p ) Just try and put your most mature foot forward here on the Ledge.

I totally agree. That was exactly what I was thinking. Well put!

Villavic 12-07-2006 05:35 PM

hi, fellow ohioan! :wavey:

the record shop downtown has that picture in their window. i laugh every time i pass by!

Serrart 12-07-2006 10:42 PM

I agree with Nancy. IMO there's between them the kind of love that sometimes stays between two people who had an extremely involving and emotionally violent relationship. A kind of link that could be very positive and negative at the same time. That obviously doesn't mean that they feel any desire, could, would or should spend time working, living or even eating together. JMHO

johndoe 12-09-2006 09:47 AM

Personally, I think this is a ludicrous question. Of course they aren't. You can keep on hoping, but they broke up a while ago, made an album about it, and now people see all this hugging on stage, which from both sides has been called an act, and take it as them falling back in love or something.

Of course, I could totally be wrong here, but I can't see how they could possibly still be in love.

michelle2677 12-09-2006 11:34 AM

Do i think they are "in love"? No. But i think they still love each other. I don't know if you ever really get over your first love and i don't think time is going to change that. If anything, it makes it worse. People tend to filter out all the "bad" things that happen. They just so happen to have it recorded-so no filtering for SnL! damn i hate being all "semi-sappy". It's so unlike me

It's absolutely contrived. I think their relationship is mostly (if not completely) professional. Lindsey is in love with his wife and kids.

*sniff* It's hard to admit it, but ....

goldustsongbird 12-09-2006 03:40 PM

I think they probably still care about each other. That's not the same as being ~in love~, which they probably aren't in the romantic sense of the word.

Nico 12-09-2006 03:53 PM

I pretty much think they love each other completely as friends and ex-lovers, and they love singing to each other and going through all the emotions again...but that is like their separate art world, as opposed to the real world- where he is married to a woman he appears to adore (or talk about incessantly) and has three kids who seem to be everything to him, and Stevie continues to do her thing and most likely has many affairs of her own. But it is very beautiful when they get together and they're in their element...and the romantic in some probably wants it to be true no doubt. ;)

Musicman408 12-13-2006 03:36 PM

Do you all think that when they are singing songs when they look and sing RIGHT to each other, like say goodbye, do they feel anything?????

They feel relieved that they have appeased Mick and his Shipper tendencies.
