Have you ever noticed Will Smith and his wife Jada, both saw "ya know" after everything they say. Don't ask me why I know this, but I really noticed it one day with Jada when she was on Oprah awhile back. To the point that it was really starting to bother me. Then last week Will was on Oprah, he was f**ken doen it  and I'm thinken, man that poor bastard is pussy whipped, he's even talken like his ol' lady

Anyhow, you can only guess what I say, "eh" (pronounced "a" as in the letter :D ) I never really noticed how much I said it until my trip to Cleveland  It really is a Canadian thing, eh?

the funniest thing about it was you didn't even know you had said it when we pointed it out. "loonies and toonies, eh!" :xoxo:

SuzeQuze 12-04-2006 12:58 PM

I say "like" all the time. Ugh. Also, "no way". "Dude" is a frequent flyer. I swear a blue streak when stressed or sometimes whenever. When something's completely rediculous I have to say, "Oh for f*ck's sake."

gldstwmn 12-04-2006 01:01 PM

Fabulous
therefore
well
cool
absolutely
honey
damn
frick
however

Peestie 12-04-2006 01:06 PM

"Actually" and "like" for me. Here in N. Ireland (especially if you're in Belfast) people tend to use "like" a lot. I mean A LOT. it's not unheard of to have it said three or four times in short sentence and not once be used in an context other than to fill space.

DrummerDeanna 12-04-2006 01:07 PM

Absolutely
oh Good God
sonofa!
dammit!
F*CK!
totally
completely
ummm

I'm sure there are more...but generally the words come out of my mouth before I have time to think about them and are therefore hard to keep track of ;)

I KNOW, right?

I don't know what it is - but I say it..then think "I've just said alrighty again, this has to stop.." but it doesn't stop. It never stops.

This brings me to another question in this thread...do you all find that you totally pick things up from here and then incorporate them into your vocabulary?

Like if I weren't a Ledgie I'm pretty sure I never would have uttered the phrase, "I think I just threw up in my mouth" or "I know, right?"...

i've stopped chastising myself for it because it's just part of my "script" in dealing with customers now. "all righty, sounds good!" gag. but i don't care enough to come up with something else to say.

hmm, i don't really think i've picked up anything from the ledge ...

oh wait. i say "whore" a helluvalot more now that i know paula.
