Funniest Movies

Just curious what some of you consider a funny movie.
Not necessarily "THE" funniest.... just entertaining as all get out.

I just finished re-watching "Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion".
Love. It! It's incredibly simple and shallow.... but I love that!

As for my first choice for a comedy, I'm more apt to go for the classics... Marx Bros., WC Fields, etc. :wavey:

Strangely, of those, Fight Club is the one that makes me laugh till it hurts. :D

I'll add Dr. Strangelove to the list. Along with The Holy Grail (what kind of list is it without that?). And theres just something I find really funny about American Psycho and True Romance. :p

Perhaps my fave scene from a Ryan/Babs movie is from "The Main Event".
At the training camp dinner table, the guys are talking about mean hits they've taken and Babs (never one to be left out) shares her story of licking an envelope and getting a paper cut... it was very, very painful.

I used to love Babs work... comedies and her music.
Unfortunately, now she works my last nerve. :distress:

Makeline Khan is comedy. I wept when she died, and I haven't even seen all the movies she is in. I just knew we had lost an unequaled talent. I love when comediennes are pretty, too, because that gives them more range, more situations to play with.

Gah!!

I saw the first scene (I think it's the first) a while back...and DIED...and I keep meaning to rent it...

It was in an airport..and this intense dude was like, "you...yoooouu..." and Mel Brooks is all freaked out....but the dude runs past or something...yeah I died...

Thought had forgotten about the movie until this thread! It's going on my official to-rent list asap!!

Wedding Crashers made me laugh so hard I almost fell off the couch. The scene where Vince Vaughn is getting a surprise hand job at the dinner table had me in tears I was laughing so hard.
Oh, and pretty much anything with Christopher Guest. I can't wait to see his new one that's coming out. I can't think of the name right now.

DrummerDeanna 11-19-2006 01:26 PM

^^

For Your Consideration...I can't wait for that one either, I'm so excited!

ontheEdgeof17 11-19-2006 01:32 PM

I agree with some of the movies listed. It's hard for me to think of funny movies, since I'm more into dramas and romance movies. However, Serial Mom comes to mind for one of the funniest movies I've seen.
