Talk To Me - THE BEST VERSION!!

for me, this is the best version of Talk To Me. Anyway got any other fav versions of this song? Or better yet, anyone got a decent MP3 of this version or any other kick ass versions?

This makes me cry with joy. The Street Angel Tour was her best vocally. HANDS DOWN!!!!

This version is pretty damn, good. The HOB '94 version still holds the top spot for me.

Oh. You should find this boot. It has some awesome versions of OTR, Rhiannon, Stand Back, Destiny, and Blue Denim. It also has her solo version of The Chain on it. Good stuff.

If I had the capability, I would post the show for you. :sorry:

I remember us singing to this version on the way to the Stevie/Don show in Pitt. I think Ryan was in the backseat going "WTF?"

That's a pretty good one. I can't think of a really kick ass version off the top of my head.
I did stumble across a nice version of Christine and the band rehearsing Why at the Record Plant in 1974.
And I have to ask about Russ Kunkel. I hope he's doing well. I do know from the last photo that I saw of him he cut off all his beautiful blonde hair.

YouSendIt is being a pain in the tochus today, but I managed to get the unedited version of Talk To Me from the (first) '94 HOB performance uploaded. :wavey:

It's funny you mentioned this because it struck me recently that in older tours and photos he was sporting the Friar Tuck hair, except his hair was long on the sides. Magically in more recent photos he had a full head of hair. I would say that those blonde locks were either not his, or were taken from the back and put on top. If by chance he stumbled upon the cure for male pattern baldness, I wish he would share it.

If Stevie pulled out this song for her '07 run, I would be a very happy man

'Blue Denim', 'Rooms On Fire' would also be nice...

WHAT A MOTHER FUKCING WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and - I know she was worried about the weight, but she is not huge in that

michelle2677 11-16-2006 08:21 PM

I hate to be the negative one, but I didn't think it was all that GREAT. I mean...it was o.k. but I've seen her do some much better performances (not of talk to me..just in general.) :sorry: :sorry:

ITA. good god. I think I actually like this one better than HOB. sheebus. she just stands there and sings and does all the runs and improvs. lurves it.

Yeah I know me too. Too bad we can't have liek a 50 song set list. That would make things SOOOO much easier.

You know, some of you will probably laugh at me, but my favorite version is the Red Rocks Video version. Talk to Me and HAEWAFY from that show just blow me away. Maybe because when it came out I played it to death. I don't really watch it anymore because the "Edge" is just too painful, she looks like she had just had a huge hit of blow and the rest of the band is gong, "Oh hon, just hold it together. The camera is rollin', keep it together, baby."

I mean seriously, Waddy is playing the opening riff and she stands up against him and puts her arms up and you know he's thinking, "if you fall forwards and hit my strings, why I'll..."

Welcome.

I think my show is a mix of the live show and the radio broadcast. It still rocks, though.

You know, I agree with you on the Talk to Me comment. Red Rocks is my favorite version that I've ever heard.

That Street Angel performance was really great though. Her voice rocked that tour! They say your voice is in it's prime when you're in your late 40s...Or at least that's what I've heard.

jwd 11-19-2006 10:10 PM

Excellent version! She kicked ass on that song!
