Paul Stanley kicked ass last night!

SO I'd never seen him before, and I was duly impressed. The guy's in great shape first of for a 50 something, and can still move around like a 30 year old. Hasnt lost anything in his voice either. You should've seen the crowd get into it during Love Gun! I would definitely see him again!

estranged4life 11-08-2006 03:12 PM

Ya gotta give him credit...

version of Kiss (w/Ace Frehley & Peter Criss), the version now with Eric Singer, Tommy Thayer, Paul & Gene isnt quite that entertaining in concert (Though they are spot-on musically.)

Btw, Have you seen the new DVD set Kiss just released of footage from 1972-1977 entitled "Kissology Vol.1"? That is the type of DVD that Fleetwood Mac should release, footage from throughout the years.

Wal Mart version-1977 Largo
Best Buy version-1977 MSG
Target version-1976 Cobo Hall (Detroit-1st night)

The set also contains the famous Budokan show and the HBO broadcast from Houston, TX.

DavidMn 11-08-2006 03:34 PM

I would say the songs the crowd got into most were Strutter and Lick It Up. Man they fet it especially during those 2.

Dude, that blows me away! You shouldve seen how easily he moved around last night. One thing that my friend commented on is he said "The guy obviously keeps himself in great shape and excercises."

irishgrl 11-08-2006 03:42 PM

David, was he in KISS makeup or no?

Here is some info I found online about his hip surgeries:

"Stanley badly needed hip replacement surgery but suffered through the Rock The Nation tour first, finally getting the surgery in October 2005. Complications from the surgery required a second in December of that year, and in December 2005 it has been announced that a third hip surgery will be necessary. Stanley regards the degeneration of his left hip as partly the product of thousands of shows performed since the early 1970s"

Btw, His real name is Stanley Harvey Eisen, his birthday is Jan.20,1952

He's touring by himself?
Did he release another solo album?
Is he playing "Hold Me, Touch Me"?
Is he wearing the platforms?

He should have mentioned to Stevie that he was telling her fans (who payed good money) to sit down most of the show, even during songs like Stand Back.

Glad you had fun David, even though I don't get it. :p
