Yes it is and I bought celebratory donuts and sausage rolls for our department - my blood sugar's gonna reach an all-time record high!

estranged4life 11-08-2006 11:48 AM

Please, let's refrain from singing songs from "Oklahoma", ok?

Yeah, but if ya reside in Oklahoma like I do you'll know that the musical "Oklahoma" can be an annoyance since people in other states ASSUME that we still live in that manner.

We do have running water, electricity, sewer & of course Democrats in almost all the major state offices (Though Oklahoma Democrats almost lost the state senate for the first time ever, it is now 24-24 with the Lt.Governor casting the deciding vote.)

strandinthewind 11-08-2006 11:55 AM

the East Coast who have asked us (Deb & myself) the following questions:

"Why are your cattle not in the zoo like ours?" (Are people in New York City & Philadelphia really that dumb?)

"Do you live near a fort so you can make it in safely before an Indian attack?" ("Oh sure, they attack us everyday-Especially when we go grocery shopping, they chase after us in their SUV's")

"Why is there Buffalo roaming everywhere, didnt the Indians kill 'em all off?" (Uh, the white US Army Cavalry soldiers descimated the herds, to drive the Indians into starvation)

"America, F*ck yeah" is a more accurate song for last night's whitewashing (Speaking of "Team America", That movie is effing great-The puppets having sex scene still cracks me up.)

Oh, dontcha like my new signature? Hehehe...

The mood on the street is ecstatic. Everyone in line at Noah's was buying bagels for the office to celebrate.

So nice to finally have a day-after-election-day where I don't feel like my organs were ripped out by a pack of wolves.

Amen brotha. There is a hope in the air that hasn't been there since around 1999.
It is a clear, cloudless day here in Colorado and this morning as I was sitting here at my desk working I had a view out my window of the gorgeous, nearly full moon in the western sky in broad daylight. It was beautiful.

estranged4life 11-08-2006 12:51 PM

had to perform it in grade school, I still know the lyrics to most of the songs from "Oklahoma"-I am a music junkie & walking music factoid (Deb called me from work last week, since the hospital pharmacist wanted to know the original name of the band that became Led Zeppelin for a radio contest, which was the New Yardbirds.)

Hate to admit it, But Deb & myself watch musicals-Her favorites are "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" & 'The King & I", mine are "Oklahoma" & "White Christmas".

sasja 11-08-2006 12:54 PM

I am sooooo FREAKING happy.
It's indeed a glorious day.

It's been good being a part of it here, on the Ledge, too.
