I would just want the original Rumous lineup, and maybe Bob Welch.

The only songs I'd be dying to hear would be, obviously, Sisters of the Moon, and Why. Maybe Say You Love Me, as well. Other than that, I don't care what they play.

chiliD 11-07-2006 01:43 PM

Since I really think the next tour is going to be Fleetwood Mac's swansong tour. I'd want as many members & ex-members on stage as ones who would want to participate. Ideally, everybody who has ever been in Fleetwood Mac.

The only one who I'd give an "out" to would be Danny Kirwan. All others have been performing either currently or in the recent past...so no excuses other than immediate health issues.

mylittledemon 11-07-2006 02:26 PM

I wanna see Christine back on tour with them (the fab 5) and this would be an ideal setlist that I'd wanna hear:

The Chain
Dreams
Eyes of the World
Oh Well
You Make Loving Fun
I'm So Afraid
Landslide
Why
Bleed to Love Her
Silver Springs
Over and Over
Big Love
Go Insane
Sisters of the Moon
Never Going Back Again
Sara
Say You Love Me
Tusk
Rhiannon
Go Your Own Way
I Know I'm Not Wrong
World Turning
encores:
Farmers Daughter
Songbird

I want that too, but I would only want the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame line-up (Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan) plus Bob Welch, Billy Burnette and Rick Vito

TheWILDheart 11-07-2006 03:55 PM

Rumours lineup + Billy Brunette

New album and tour

Set list:

In The Back of My Mind/The Chain
Seven Wonders
Love in Store
Not That Funny
When The Sun Goes Down
Dreams
Do You Know?
Never Going Back Again
Rhiannon
Little Lies
Blue Letter
Sara
Big Love
Landslide
Eyes of the World
Isn't it Midnight
Angel
something by Billy solo (I don't know any so somebody suggest something)
Go Your Own Way
Songbird
Thrown Down or Gold Dust Woman
I'm So Affraid
Edge of Seventeen

Encore:

Tusk
Beauty and the Beast
Don't Stop

ryan8472 11-07-2006 04:30 PM

I forgot to add Blue Letter too. I must see that one. Personally, I think the SOTM - Blue Letter - Songbird encore was always perfect.

Hawkeye 11-07-2006 04:36 PM

Mick, John, Lindsey, Stevie and Bob Welch (Face it guys Christine DOES NOT WANT to tour) But really I think that those 5 together would be a freaking great concert. I don't want to do a whole wosh set list thing. But Lindsey and Bob can play together at times, but I'd have Bob take a break during ISA and have Lindsey sit down during Gold Dust Woman as I feel the 1981 version is the bes played version of the song and I think Bob's harmony on GDW is better then Lindsey. And how's THIS. A bob and Stevie Green Manalishi.

TheWILDheart 11-07-2006 04:54 PM

She has to do Sara! SHE HAS TO!!! It is the best song ever recorded by anyone EVER and I've NEVER seen it Live.

shackin'up 11-07-2006 05:49 PM

If everybody is on that stage, i'm not interested anymore. And if they play little lies, I'm leaving.

The only way of making that idea interesting is let every incarnation do it's own thing. That means they can't play out two songs per incarnation!:D

no, such a freakshow would be too american for a british origin band.

Ain't It Just Like Love
Don't Say No
Angel Come Home (which he did with the Zoo)
The Bigger The Love (which he's done twice solo, on John's solo, and even live with FM in 1994/1995)
It Ain't Over (a great duet with Christine)
Tear It Up (he's done this on a few solo albums, with the Zoo, and was played on the 1990 FM tour)

My vote goes to Ain't It Just Like Love.

SteveMacD 11-08-2006 10:35 AM

My wish list, what I think is possible, and what we'll probably get is all very different.

Wishlist: Mick, John, Christine, Stevie, Lindsey, Billy, Bekka, Bob Welch, Peter, Jeremy, and Rick. This might work for one night only, but I don't think we can expect a full tour. Though, it's fun to think about.

Is Possible: Mick, John, Stevie, Lindsey, Bob Welch, Bekka, Billy, and Rick. I believe this crew, or some variation of this crew, could realistically do a full-blown tour.

Probable: SYW band with Mini-Mac, and no real treats.

JazmenFlowers 11-08-2006 11:09 AM

the only songs I've never seen live that I'd love for them to add:

SOTM
Storms
Sara
Everybody Finds Out
Thrown Down
Angel

but I highly doubt any will be in the setlist.

I suppose she could do Sara at least.

And, on the 1994/95 tour.

Lindsey would probably have a great time being involved in doing this one, as well. The Zoo's studio version seems to have a definite "Lindsey-ness" about it...but, then, that could just be Richard Dashut's involvement in it, too.

The Nisse 11-09-2006 09:23 AM

First of all, I wouldn't mind having the SYW-band again. Maybe having Taku completely replace Mick Fleetwood, or some other drummer. That's the only things that's ever bugged me about their music, - Fleetwood's drumming.. (I know, I am being completely unrealistic). And I didn't miss Christine at all during the SYW-era. Her songs are too simplistic and predictable IMO..

I just wanna hear these songs live..

Big Love (original version).
Caroline
Tango in the Night
Bleed to Love Her
Seven Wonders
Sisters of the Moon
Monday Morning

That's it...I think.

I doubt Lindsey has the energy or vocal ability to do Tango anymore.

UnwindedDreams 11-09-2006 03:16 PM

With pre-rumours and rumours mac

no order:
second hand news
ebony eyes or emerald eyes:D
why
hypnotized
keep on going
eyes of the world
i don't wanna know
i'm so afraid
oh well
green manalishi
rattlesnake shake
coming your way
rhiannon
big love
don't stop
sisters of the moon
believe me
never going back again
go your own way
songbird
the chain
you make loving fun
oh daddy
gold dust woman
some kind of new song

UnwindedDreams 11-09-2006 03:35 PM

I hope that Stevie cancels this tour that is "supposedly" happening next year(not that I don't want to see her, its just for Mac to get it together) and gets with lindsey, mick, and john and start getting some planning done. Then, they should get all their contacts together make some calls, see who wants to possibly do an album and if nobody's in for it, screw it!

Then, they'll ask who wants to do like a 60 maybe 70 show world tour for 2008 maybe 09 for a memorable experience and for $$$ . I bet that they could get away with some higher ticket prices too, if they have the pre-rumours line-up with them.:)

Well...listen to his livevocals from this tour (f.i. Not too late chorus) and you'll find him in great vocal shape: He can do Tango, not literally, but with full power.

He does sound amazing this tour...He could pull it off...

DavidMn 11-09-2006 05:36 PM

I have the best idea of all! God am i a F***ING genius!

A nonstop loop for 2.5 hours of Don't Stop, Rhiannon, and Go Your Own Way!:] ;)

Are you serious? yikes.

stevierocks87 11-10-2006 01:42 AM

I'll Just use the setlist I made up earlier, going on a standard SYW-Lineup...

1. Second Hand News
2. Dreams
3. Oh Well
4. Eyes of the World
5. Never Going Back Again
6. Rhiannon
7. Big Love (electric!)
8. Tango in the Night (this would be THE guitar song- No So Afriad or Murrow)
9. Red Rover
10. Frozen Love
11. Gold Dust Woman
12. Twist of Fate (this could be so much FUN and sound great with Stevie and Lindsey on the chorus!)
13. Gypsy (Acoustic)
14. Try for the Sun (Say Goodbye/Red Rover style, with Stevie doing slight backing vocals)
15. Crystal (Lindsey does first verse, then Stevie)
16. Thrown Down
17. Angel
18. Silver Springs
19. Tusk
20. Stand Back
21. Go Your Own Way
22. -----Encore-----
23. Dont Let Me Down Again
24. Sisters of the Moon
25. Blue Letter

The Chain has gotten tired.... We HAVE to hear Tango once in our lives, even if he doesn't do the long notes....Sorry, sick of Landslide... PLEASE Sisters of the Moon one more time....and, do a Don't Let Me more like the original and less like the version I heard from the last tour ;)

:wavey: Adam :wavey:

ozfan 11-10-2006 04:37 AM

is there any evidence that older members (pre rumours) want to rejoin or is this speculation?

I kinda am.. I started out a drummer, and I've studied quite a few drummers through time. And if you listen to Mick's drumming....well, first of all it's the same pattern over and over. And his fills are just so simple and repetetive. I truly believe that many FM-tracks could be so much better. That's just MHO..

Yeah...you're probably right. But I can still dream.. :-) It's a fantastic song..

JunkFoodGenius 11-11-2006 08:25 PM

Here's my dream set...approx, 20 songs, yes? (And my wishlist includes Christine. That's what makes it extra wishy!)

No significant order:

Tango in the Night
Monday Morning
Angel
Secondhand News
Hold Me
You and I I&2
Everywhere
Little Lies
Red Rover
Songbird
Gypsy (whomever said acoustic...nice)
What Makes You Think You're the One
Tusk
Blue Letter
Ledge
World Turning
Big Love (also...yes, lush production live, please!)
Got a Hold On Me (because I insert the Lindsey harmonies and I get very happy)
Holiday Road
Don't Stop

Uhm...yeah, I may be in the camp who would just love to have a Lindsey and Christine tour...it won't ever happen because 1) there's something called logic and 2) I will prove that you can explode of happiness.

I admit to being a big 80's loving douchebag.
