Where do you sleep?

So I cosulted another Ledgie...and hopefully this isn't too creepy - but I got the idea to post pics of where you sleep...

Your bedroom
Your bed
Your couch....whatever....

Here is where I spend my nights...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ff/Bedtime.jpg

the books on the little shelf are not all my books - that's where I keep the small paperbacks..the light reading if you will :D

And yes that IS a teddy bear AND a monky on my bed  Those are the remnants of my childhood -and those were my two absolute favorite stuffed animals - I just can't part with them :o

carrie721 11-05-2006 07:41 PM

aw, i still have two stuffed animals too ... muck and rodney. i should get a picture of them.

here's my bed, but this is a picture of it in my old apartment.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../prettybed.jpg

i miss that down comforter!

jannieC 11-05-2006 07:44 PM

Ooh yay- I love threads like this. Here is a picture of our bedroom when we first moved in, so there is not much in the way of decor:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Deanna, I love that comforter. We are getting ready to throw some paint up soon. I am going to use a dark-ish brown in the bedroom because the room is really big and can handle it, I think.

DrummerDeanna 11-05-2006 07:44 PM

As per Carrie's:

That looks really comfy..I LOVE down comforters.

Jannie - I like that mirror above your bed...and I'm amused that you're in the shot by way of reflection in said mirror

I like the windows as well, my bedroom has only one and it's in a corner with a huge bush in front of it - it's SO dark in there, that part I do not like.

it was incredibly comfortable. unfortunately, down comforters are one of those things you should not go cheap on and it did not last long. about a week after i bought it, all the seaming came undone, and the down just went to the edges. i still used it for quite a while afterward, but it wasn't the same. i want a new one.

jannieC 11-05-2006 08:02 PM

Deanna- the mirror belonged to my husband's grandmother- my room actually is filled with hand-me-down antiques, which I love.

Carrie- the bed came from my step-son's GREAT grandfather on his mother's side (I know, crazy).

My comforter is down also- I love it.

Well sh*t. This means i have to clean

LOL, the pillowcovers? They're floral. The fairy thing you're seeing is actually the pillow itself... It's mine from when I was a baby, and has bright coloured balloons on it.

thank you! you do what you can when you're living in white-walls that make the place feel rather cell block-esque with furniture [if you can even call it that] that looks as though it's on its last leg.

So darned cute. I still have my first teddy bear too, though he is pretty fragile these days. He wears my old backstage passes and lives on the dresser.

Here is what my hole-in-the-wall, I mean bedroom, looks like AFTER it's been cleaned:

In case you're wondering, the bags inside that crate are full of rat bedding. I buy in bulk. And I have 1 rat.

And part of the room that you can't see in the first pic, my toad tank, rat cage, and requisite Egan shrine.

DrummerDeanna 11-05-2006 11:02 PM

I was totally going to ask you if the stuff in the cart was something for rats  You beat me to the punch! Great space you have...though it looks like you have enough to fill another room easily :)

Yeah, you can't even see the half of it. I'm not even going to mention the crap that's under the bed, in the drawers, and in the closet.

I guess the decorative theme of my room is "Victoria has way too much stuff and not enough space."

Thanks. I had to go with something less feminine than the rest of the house. My psycho mother painted all of the other rooms in shades of pink and yellow.

Yikes. Did you threaten to do the same to her house in colours that she hates? My room is an ugly, dull grey-ish blue. I've covered the walls with posters, but you can still tell it looks like ****. :p They really need to be cleaned.

I just realized the other day that most all of my products are dove: shampoo/condition, lotion, deoderant, body wash....I'm a walking Dove ad :D

Actually, it is her house. Rent in this area is outrageous. Ain't no way I can afford to move out yet. :o

Don't get me started on posters. You can't really tell from these photos but I have 22 posters (and countless smaller photos) in my bedroom and all but 2 are displayed. There are so many that a bunch of them are on the ceiling.

Me too. I'm actually pretty dissatisfied with their deodorant. I love the soap and body wash, though.

 Don't worry, I'm living at home, too. From what I saw in that picture you posted of yourself, you have a hell of a lot of Mac stuff up on your walls. I'm jealous. I have a lot of little pictures up too. Most of my large posters are really old, and I can't be bothered to take them down. My room would look way too weird without them.

wow. how big is your room? please tell me there's some solo lindsey buckingham in there somewhere. yes?

one of my walls is completely blank. i haven't found anything i really love to put on there as of yet. i haven't put up my syw lithograph yet, either but i feel like this year, it doesn't really fit anywhere.

I'm all about Head & Shoulders. I just like the way it smells, and leaves my hair feeling all squeaky clean.

Yeah... Oh you know what? Actually I have 23 posters and all but 3 are on display, I forgot about my recently purchased Behind the Mask poster that hasn't been put up yet.

As for Mac stuff, yeah, I've got a ton of that. I have a promo poster with The Dance cover, another promo for that album with the RS cover they did, Time, SYW tour poster, a replica 70's tour poster, a poster for each of Lindsey's first three solo albums, a Billy Burnette/Gibson Guitar poster, a photo of Lindsey, a photo of Stevie, a photo of Lindsey and Stevie together, and two photos of Billy Burnette. Also that big brown wooden case on my dresser is full of nothing but Fleetwood Mac and solo cds, books, and DVDs. I'm slightly obsessive.

My room is freaking tiny. It's maybe 12' x 12'.

And yes, as listed above, there's plenty of Lindsey solo. :)

EDIT: Actually the room is 9 x 9. Even smaller than I thought.

Sheeit. That's a lot! I have... Lemme count this. 12 posters (non Mac), but they're pretty huge. The rest of the space is taken up by the little photos. I'll have to um, borrow that Dance poster when you're not looking. I actually don't have any FM stuff up in my room, except for a printed pic of Stevie. The rest is Cyndi Lauper and my other (some former) musical loves.

sup h&s. i don't think i've ever used that ... i used to use garnier fructis, until i realized how worthless it is. then i tried dove, but it made my hair too poufy. infusium works well with my ridiculous rat's nest.

Well, the 23 posters includes my mac stuff, Egan stuff, Petty stuff, two movie posters (Gladiator and Shrek 2) and a poster each of Bob Seger, The Pretenders, and Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts (Russell Crowe's former band). But most of it's FM.

DrummerDeanna 11-05-2006 11:38 PM

The third was actually Herbal Essences..sometimes I pick it up becaues the smell really brings back some great memories :o

My two favorite shampoos of all time were discontinued a few years ago - I've never been the same :p

Garnier is so lame! I liked that herbal essences for awhile, but never quite got the same results as they did in the commercial...
