Denver?
 

Hey everyone!

Okay, so I never post (except tonight, apparently, been on a posting spree) but I've met a bunch of y'all lately...Bree, the blonde with glasses...Canadian...permanently frozen outside a venue in various places... :)

I'm wondering if anyone is going to Denver, because I am trying to get there...! (Yes, yes, I know. My last show was supposed to be my first, Nashville... Meanwhile if I got to Denver this would be my 7th...lol!) I'd be getting in looks like around 1pm and then heading back early the next day. I don't know a soul in Denver, have never been there, don't know the least bit about getting to and from the airport or *anything*, LOL...but that's alright, won't be the first time, even on this tour!

Also...I'm wondering if anyone possibly has or knows of an extra ticket that I could buy. I'm currently pulling up 22nd row right, which I'll take if it means I get to see one more show, but I'd so much prefer something better if at all possible. Hard to run for the stage without getting caught from 22nd row... ;) So yah...nothing's final yet but it's looking like that is the plan...! Seems to be the cheapest one for me to get to, which is the major consideration after the amount of travelling I've been doing and the amount of time off work I've had lately. :)

Denver is great - I live about an hour away -the airport is sort of far from the city proper...it's on the outskirts...and I only recently moved to the area - so I don't know a whole lot...

But you'd at least have some Ledgies to meet up with if you did go!

Yay!!! I thought Christy said she was going, I couldn't remember! Awesomeness, having people to meet up with is a huge huge plus. :) I found public transit to and from the airport, but given that my plan was to camp out in the airport for a couple hours in the nighttime and leave really early in the morning and the transit stops running at, like, 12 (and I know from recent experience that post-Lindsey show nights can run past 12, LOL!), I'm trying to figure something else out! I would hate to have to cab it the whole way, it sounds pretty far, therefore expensive.

I dunno...I'm seriously considering just going and figuring it out later, hehe... It's worked before! And hey, there will be cool people to meet up with...can't go wrong, looks like. ;) See you there, hopefully!

If you're not a psycho murderd I would be happy to take you to the airport after the show - it's on my way out of town, so it wouldn't be a big deal at all.

That would be awesome!!! I'll see, someone just reminded me of the existance of priceline.com, so I might could afford a really cheap hotel after all...but definitely, if I'm not staying anywhere, that would be *wonderful*...thank you! And I promise I'm no psycho murderer... Unless I just keep it so well hid. (Groan...I've been really bad on the random song lyric puns tonight, sorry... :) ) My previous travel companions have all survived, I assure you. :)

Well the offer stands, and if you need a lift after the show to a hotel I can do that as well...I'll have my car, so I don't mind carting Ledgies around :D

I just got home from Phoenix literally minutes ago and yes, I'm going to Denver. That's a bummer about Vancouver though. I can't seem to find a doggone flight home from there for a decent price. :( I don't have transportation either and I'm leaving for Seattle the next morning early, so Deanna was awesome enough to pick my crazy a$$ up at the airport. (THANKS!)

I hope Denver works out for you in terms of money and everything!! I'll bring your birthday card with me...didn't see LB in Phoenix and my seat was too far back.

I am going to Seattle and Vancouver too, Christy. Maybe we can work something out. Sorry about your seat in PHX, Christy.

Pattie, it was a TERRIFIC seat, but not close enough to hand him her birthday card. YAY!! I'll see you in Seattle/Vancouver! Did you get good seats for both? I'm in the 2nd row for both.

BTW, someone yelled out "happy belated birthday, Lindsey!" in Phoenix and he blushed and I think said "Thank you." :)

I do have second row for Seattle but I don't have one for Vancouver. I want the first 3 rows. :(

Hey, Pattie, so you're waiting to see if anything comes up closer for Vancouver? Has that worked for anyone on this tour? Because I'm pulling up Row W Right for Denver, which like I said I'll take if I have to...but I'm wondering if it's worth it to wait. I just don't wanna get 2000 miles away and find myself without a seat, LOL!

I've pretty much decided that I am going...I should be booking the trip on Saturday! Christy, you don't have transit, I'm figuring out the public transit system right now so I can help with that if you want, hehe...do you have a place to stay? If not, PM me, maybe we could go halfsies on something or...something. :) And I know...Vancouver is *crazy* expensive to fly in and out. You'd likely be better off to fly out of Seattle...I'm flying out of Buffalo, it's MUCH cheaper to keep the flight within the US.

Read and replied! :) I've been going back and forth on this for awhile now...do I have the money, don't I... I've decided as long as I have the *absolute bare minimum* to survive off of back home, LOL, I am just gonna go for broke and do this show.

In Cincy I had a sign, which I got to show and talk about to Lindsey!!!, which read "Show 2 of 5"....LOL, I SO would love to make a sign that says "Show 7 of 5...there's been a change in plans..." ;)

Well, it looks as though I can't go to Denver at all. :distress: I waited an extra day because I was hesitant about money and all, and then finally today I figured out that I could do it......

Only to go back to Expedia.ca and find the prices had jumped for my flight by A HUNDRED DOLLARS. Damn damn damn!!! I can't believe it. I've never had that happen before...!

Well, unless anyone knows anything about how one goes about flying standby for cheap, looks as though I won't be there... *cries*

I swear I've been praying to the altar of Expedia.ca this year, hahahaha...and today, it's even higher, at CDN$748!!!!!!!!!! Holy wtf!?!!?

But, I will keep looking....I'm even considering trying priceline.com but I'm just afraid that it'd get me there too late for the show. I dunno...I've promised myself I'll hold off 'til Friday making any final decisions, just to see *exactly* how much I get paid. They overpaid us right before I went to Cincy/Detroit/Chicago, lol, and this is the check that they begin taking money off to balance it out...I'm holding out hope that maybe they'll forget to begin deducting or something, LOL! I soooo wanna be there!!!

Sigh... I think it's time to finally decide, so here it is: I can't go to Denver. :distress: No way... After a few hours on Thursday night/Friday morning where the flight was back down to something I could actually afford, it jumped back up to almost a grand, and it's stayed that way. So, I'm deciding once and for all to not go, only because I really don't think it's going to get cheap again, lol, the flight is in, like, a day now...! And as well, I need to like...do stuff...like laundry...get my winter clothes out of storage...hahaha, all those things that were sort of neglected for the past month or so, hehe!

But I will be there in spirit--you girls had better do me proud and come back here with a Lindsey-meeting story!!! ;) I can't believe in a week, the tour will be over... Noooooo!!!!! Although, I have a pretty strong feeling it won't be long before we'll get to do this again. If anything, not being able to go is sort of a blessing: not starting out with any Lindsey-related debt for 2007, so I can just save save save and see, like, at least half the tour next year, LOL!

Bree, what about Vancouver??? Can you do that show??

You know, it's weird--airfare to Vancouver is even higher than Denver! It's like $500 if you book in advance...crazy-expensive to book now. Plus I work that day...! :( I'd gladly switch a shift with someone if I was able to get there, but unfortunately it's much too expensive. No fair no fair no fair!

I'll check it again though, LOL, now that you mention it...fares dropped just a couple days ago for Denver, maybe they'll do the same for Vancouver, even for an hour or two, lol... You'd think it'd be a no-brainer, right, the only show that's actually in my country?? Gah! :)

Well, I hope that you can get a cheap airfare and make it to Vancouver. That would be great and you won't even need a passport. ;)

Bwahahahaha...oh man...you know they made me retell that story today at work, because the managers I was in with hadn't heard exactly what "happened" yet? ;)

I unfortunately can't get Saturday off, looks like... :( Although, if I do find something real cheap to Vancouver, I'm not above developing a stomach flu... I mean dear Lord, that'd be nothing as compared to what I already pulled off, right? Hehe!
