Enchanted Disc Four?

OK so, Enchanted is kind of dated now. I love it, but it's dated. I managed to get my hands on it last week and since then have made me own disc 4 to bring it up to date and included some gems I felt should've been on it in the first place. So here goes:

1. Trouble in Shangri-La
2. How Still My Love
3. Sorcerer
4. Juliet
5. Think About It
6. Planets of the Universe (Extended)
7. Nothing Ever Changes
8. No Spoken Word
9. Candlebright
10. Long Way to Go
11. Maybe Love
12. Sometimes it's a Bitch
13. Everyday
14. Gate and Garden
15. It's Only Love
16. Doing the Best I Can

What would you have on your disc four?

SpyNote 10-26-2006 01:25 PM

I always thought the fourth disc should have been a live show, either The Source show remastered or something from The Wild Heart tour.

You can't put TISL songs on an Enchanted disc because the album came out years after the boxset.

 but don't you know? fans are allowed to critcize by pointing out that Stevie should have included songs she hadn't written and/or recorded yet. geez, Curty.

That sounds cool. What's the Source show? But as with most things, we have limited resources. i deffo felt that HSML, Juliet, No Spoken Word, LWTG, DTBIC and Nothing Ever Changes were all worthy of a place on the original Enchanted. I wouldn't have had I Sing for The Things on or Two Kinds of Love or Destiny - but thats just personal taste.

I forgot Stevie has crystal visions. She probably already knew those songs would be on TISL, so she put them on Enchanted first.....

As I said - It's my way of updating it. I wasn't on about it being RELEASED with a fourth disc. I was just saying what I'd do to bring it up to 2006. These are just songs I have put on a fourth disc to complete the collection personally - if that makes any sence.

I agree that I Sing For The Things & Two Kinds of Love could've been replaced with Doing the Best That I Can & HSML.

I really don't like TKOL. As much as I love OSOTM, this track has frustrated me ever since I first heard it. I used to just ignore it, but now it has reached "Skip Status" and I just cannot bare it anymore. I really wish that it had NEVER appeared on OSOTM and something else had replaced it. I also think that I Still Miss Someone ruins the album. It should've ended with DTBIC.

It was the radio program of the Bella Donna HBO concert we all love and adore. They aired more of the concert, including Angel, Leather and Lace, Bella Donna, How Still My Love, and the full version of Outside the Rain. I wonder if the full show will ever surface.

if you're recording is a mistake or not (It wasnt on the vinyl promo copy I used to make the CDR), But "Blue Lamp" may or may not have been played for the show and/or may just not seen a release, so who knows

I meant the whole show with Think About It, After the Glitter Fades, and Blue Lamp.

I think it would have made a super disc #4 on Enchanted. Gold & Braid (which happens to be remixed, in additional to its remastering) sounds amazing on the box set. I just wish they included the full concert.

I agree with spynote's first comment! the melbourne oz show live would have been great! lol

macmar71 10-27-2006 12:27 PM

Real Tears and Mirror, Mirror should have been on it

jwd 10-29-2006 10:48 PM

I think what you really want to know is what additional songs will or would have been on her best of collection. Definitely Planets(extended), TISL, Sorcerer, Everyday, No Spoken Word, Nothing Ever Changes, If You Ever Did Believe, and Touched By An Angel would make "healthy" additions to the standard fare.

WOW! I didn't think of IYEDB or TBAA. Cheers :). I can't understand why No Spoken Word and HSML were never on Enchanted seeing as they are both popular with the fans and both have been huge successes live too

SpyNote 10-30-2006 11:21 AM

It must have been a tough decision. Like she said, choosing songs for Enchanted was like picking out her favorite children.

I tend to think her "bitter" songs (Nothing Ever Changes, No Spoken Word, Mirror Mirror, Long Way to Go) were intentionally left off the box set. When I look back at my own writing, I wonder why I ever wrote certain things. They were basically things I was feeling at the moment but not representative of how I'm feeling today. We'll probably never know the actual reason why these songs were excluded, but maybe they fell into this category?
