will this be broadcast upon? I ask because I can record it to a DVD-R and/or CDR to share it.

MacMan 10-13-2006 02:28 PM

Here's the Sirius site where it's listed. Brian, it looks like it's Channel 18 The Spectrum.

http://www.sirius.com/wo/musicweekly/index.html

Also, if you don't have SIRIUS, you can listen online for free for three days. Click "Listen On Line" and subscribe for the three day listen. http://www.sirius.com/servlet/Conten...=1018209032790

Probably best to do that next week.

I have someone here at work who uses SIRIUS at work, but she doesn't know how to record anything from it.

estranged4life 10-13-2006 02:40 PM

Thanks for the info...

Thanks in advance for doing this ^ :xoxo:
I've been trying to record internet streams & they always sound bad, very, very bad. I will subscibe for that 3day period at sirrius-online though.

This should be interesting since my Panasonic DVD recorder is hooked straight into my DishNetwork system (I get Sirirus free since it is part of the 180 channel package on DishNetwork), so I will be recording the show on Sirius while blasting the house in 5.1 sound.

Dan B. 10-15-2006 06:48 PM

Does it say how long the show runs, an hour maybe?

MacMan 10-18-2006 01:15 PM

Don't forget... Today at 5pm ET. I signed up to the free 3 day thing to listen. The Spectrum is on while we speak, and they've been promoting it coming up today...

estranged4life 10-18-2006 01:27 PM

I havent forgetten...

just sitting here waiting til 4PM CST (I knew having Sirius as part of our satellite system would come in handy-Spectrum is currently playing one of the best songs ever-"Something" by the Beatles).

Will be recording this show in full digital stereo, none of the that mono crap!

estranged4life 10-18-2006 04:08 PM

So far...

he has played "Not Too Late" live in the studio

danax6 10-18-2006 04:09 PM

Has he said anything interesting so far?

shackin'up 10-18-2006 04:11 PM

How did it sound? Is he going loose?

estranged4life 10-18-2006 04:12 PM

Right now he is talking Mick living in the Winnebago and when he left FM.

Maybe I should have asked 'has he said anything new so far'?

estranged4life 10-18-2006 04:13 PM

Now LB is playing "Show You How" live in the studio

MacMan 10-18-2006 04:14 PM

This sounds great! He's doing Show You How.

estranged4life 10-18-2006 04:18 PM

He is not saying "This collection (UTS) is about what I am not doing".

wondergirl9847 10-18-2006 04:19 PM

Hmmm..

Does he sound a little bit hoarse or is it just me?

I missed the first 20 minutes. :(

Sexy hoarse or cringe worthy hoarse?

estranged4life 10-18-2006 04:24 PM

Just mentioned the records execs saying goodbye to their Christmas bonuses when they heard Tusk for the first time.

wondergirl9847 10-18-2006 04:24 PM

Whispery-hoarse

He sounds a little tired-hoarse. I hope it is just nervous radio voice.

Big Love now....and he doesn't sound hoarse singing, only talking. His singing voice is great.

estranged4life 10-18-2006 04:25 PM

Playing "Big Love" live in the studio

Looks like he brought his script again. :p

wondergirl9847 10-18-2006 04:34 PM

Lol

He knows nothing about his own website.

Wants to concentrate on this particular album, and doesn't sound like the electric album is a priority. He may add more tour dates after the first of the year (that IS what he said, right?) for this album.

That's what has been said in one of the recent interviews/articles also, so that sounds about right. :)

what he said (Having the plumbing fixed, had to discuss the new sewer lines that will be installed) but I did record the whole interview.

I find the website comment funny, but probably true.

Yep, that's what he said.

He also said that he was talking to Tom Whally (sp) the Warner Bros. guy about doing the next album. But he also said that he wants to take this project as far he possibly can and may add more dates after the first of the year, before jumping right into another project.

When he was talking about the electric album, it didn't sound finished at all, it sounded like what ever he had, could be turned into an electric album.

This was copied from the internet player. I'm sure better copies will materialize but until then...

estranged4life 10-18-2006 05:03 PM

His guitar sounds outta tune on "Not Too Late" to my ears.

Thats great! I thought you were.. Any chance of splitting it into chapters so we have the songs separated?

My copies ok, but my computer bleeped just before Not Too Late, which was a pain!

Sure, I always track everything DAO to avoid any gap between songs transistions (I'm very anal about that, Almost neurotic to a point!!!)

My recording will have the following Lineage:
Digital satellite broadcast recording (Sirius satellite radio in Stereo)> Panasonic DMR-E55 DVD burner (Sony DVD-R on XP)> Apex AD-1010W DVD player> JVC XL-R2010 burner> CDR

(I'll probably edit my DVD-R too, To separate the tracks into individual chapters since my burner has DVD-RAM edit capatibility)

Don't bother downloading mine then, get this one!

Well.. Get mine until Brian's is ready.

estranged4life 10-18-2006 05:34 PM

Question...

Did the broadcast drop as "Big Love" ended? Seems to have jumped into "Never Going Back Again" rather abruptly (Checked my equipment and see no error.)

Yes Big Love ended and went straight into Never Going Back Again. I didn't notice any overlap so perhaps you could put a blank inbetween?

That's what I thought I heard. I guess it really wasnt as live in the studio as I first believed (Straight fade-in to "Never Going Back Again" was the dead giveaway)....But that's alright, It sounds great none-the-less.

Thanks for listing your version for those who may have missed it
