How often you watch Fleetwood Mac videos?
 

I think fans watch mac videos probably not so often as listening their music.

I think I watch a video, a dvd, once each two months. For example I guess I have seen THE DANCE twice per year, same with the Soundstage dvd, the Making Rumours, Tango or Destiny rules.

Mirage or the other video clips.. (Gypsy, Big love, etc) since they are in vhs format and my vcr is dying.. I don't watch them often. What about you?

Not very often. I don't think I have ever watched "The Dance" or the "Mirage Tour" concert DVDs in their entirety :eek: I have watched the "Tango" DVD a numbr of times however.

As for solo, I have watched Stevie's 1986 Red Rocks show so many times I am bored of it, and I have watched almost all of Lindsey's Soundstage...

Lately Tango in the Night has been getting played a lot because my car has a DVD player, so whenever someone is in my car for the first time they want to know what the screen is for... I fire up Tango in the Night. You would be amazed how many non Mac fans enjoy watching it. Because most of my videos are still on tape, I try to watch most of them every year or two, just to keep them in shape. I always enjoy watching them... there's not one that I tire of. Red Rocks is still my fave.

I don't seem to have the time to actually sit and watch them anymore. However, I like to stick one in while I'm working on a long project. I'm more listening and singing along than actually watching, but it still counts.

I watch Largo about once a month. Mirage, Tusk, and Tango about once a year. That's about it.

Usually once every week or two. I regularly watch the 1974 Don Kirshner Show, 1975 Largo, various Midnight Specials & Rosebud, 1977 Japan, Tusk Documentary & Concert, Bob Welch Roxy, Mirage, Christine McVie Video Album(laserdisc & VHS versions), Tango, 1993 Disney Documentary, Dance, Rumours Classic Album, Mick Fleetwood Documentary & Christine McVie ITM DVDs. I only occasionally watch the 1978 Largo, Tusk Rehearsal, 1979 Largo, 1990 L.A. videos...occasionally because of the poor quality. There are also various little bits of odds & ends that I watch from time to time as well.

The White Winged Dove Video was better than Red Rocks. I wasn't too taken with that one

since most of what I have is still on VHS I don't watch them as often as I used to. as my DVD collection grows I do sit up really late on Fri and Sat nights at my computer with my big headphones and watch/listen. last weekend I was up til 3 in the morning watching The Dance and a video compilation.

Dude. :shocked: I'm shocked. Seriously. It's one thing if you don't have these vids, but you have them & haven't ever watched them in their entirety? I should smack you with a ruler. :cool:

Like many of you, I don't seem to have time anymore. But I'm transferring a bunch of VHS tapes to DVDs for a fellow Ledgie right now, so I've been watching more often lately. Watched Rock's Family Trees (or whatever it's called) recently, along with a lot of TV clips. I watched The Dance & LB's Soundstage as soon as hubby bought the giant TV & surround sound.

I hate The Dance. I think as a band, it was one of the biggest mistakes they ever made - it made them almost has-beens and a novelty act. Christine looks like she is about to hurt someone as well.
It did wonders for Stevie's career though...

Now, if I could just convince the world that Time was every bit as legitimately Fleetwood Mac as any other album....;)

I really need to post the LA Times (I believe it was the LA Times) article that I have at home, that discusses how important it was for Fleetwood Mac to re-establish their image to the public, and to reclaim their position as one of pop/rock's supergroups, after "years of replacement members tarnished their image."

The LA Times is full o' crap and only worth wrapping fish in.

Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham WERE "replacement members", too, ya know.

You know I agree with you wholeheartedly, buddy. I think what makes the difference is that Fleetwood Mac wasn't really a household name in the US before Lindsey & Stevie, and most people didn't really know the band members by name either until then. Their "supergroup" status started with the 'Rumours' lineup.

In the UK it was a different matter, of course.

I guess I have a different definition of "supergroup" than most. To me a "supergroup" is when members of different well-known groups join to form another band. (like CSNY, or Blind Faith, or Asia, etc)

Buckingham Nicks was for all intents an unknown entity when they joined Fleetwood Mac.

as many may believe considering the size of my video collection.

Usually I only watch FM videos when I check for errors (Once a QC tech, always a QC tech.) before I send the completed DVD to another trader and/or Ledgie.

As for the officially releases, I rarely (If ever) watch 'em. Last I did was when I decided to see if LIB (Live in Boston) could be transferred to 1 DVD from the 2 DVD's (Which it can)

i watch dvd's of the band but mostly stevie at least once a week~
