amber 09-06-2006 12:07 AM

Thank goodness. But why is he playing two dates in SoCa, then coming way up here to San Francisco, then going back to SoCa?
Whatever, Friday 11/6 is now a holiday. :D
Thanks much, lbfan.

I was hoping Alpine was a NoCa date but it's not. At least we have one up here.

I know, I had to look up where it was, I thought it would be up here since it's called Alpine. But no, down south.
He's at the Palace of Fine Arts, too! Pretty cool. Maybe he'll make another date here. :D

macfanken 09-06-2006 01:06 AM

****! No Seattle?! Looks like I'll be flying down to S.F. Or maybe L.A.

WelshWitchPMD 09-06-2006 01:11 AM

Geez it's about time. There does seem to be some large gaps between some shows so I wonder if that means that he will add a few more stops.

No. There will be a couple of cities where he'll add a night or two once the initial show goes on sale, but I would bet against him adding any more cities.

As in, hint hint- a whole week between Chicago & Phoenix ?

When I saw that gap, I was thinking maybe he wanted sometime off since the kiddies are at the Trick or Treating age.

wondergirl9847 09-06-2006 11:24 AM

Well...

crap. :distress:

No Texas dates. Can't go to the first, but I can go to the last in L.A.

I'd like to hit Chicago, Phoenix, San Fran and L.A.

:(

lbfan 09-06-2006 11:42 AM

Cincinnati on October 21

Ticketmaster is now listing an October 21 date for Cincinnati, so it appears that additional shows/locations will be added to the tour!

skcin 09-06-2006 11:47 AM

^ I hope so. I don't think I can make any of the shows already announced. :distress:

BTFLCHLD 09-06-2006 11:50 AM

I may go to AZ (bro lives there)...and definitely going to three of the cali shows.

Houseonthehill 09-06-2006 12:31 PM

As some of you know, I am from Calgary in Canada. I highly doubt the Vancouver or Seattle (to a lesser extent) stop, so I think I am going down to San Francisco for the show at the Palace. Have any of you seen a show there? What is it like, it looks spectacular. Is it open air etc?

Anyone else going down from Calgary? I have found packages for Under $500.

I have been to San Fran but only when I was quite young. All the hotels that I am looking at are around 10 blocks west of Union Square, they look to be very "old style", but are surprisingly appearing to be quite nice. How is the Bart system in San Fran? Also, the block distances are kind of throwing me off, Calgary is the definition of Urban Sprawl, are distances like say 20 blocks in inner San Fran actually daunting distances.

(sorry about the offtopic, I am just so excited!) :]

Livia 09-06-2006 01:44 PM

No Texas dates? Hmmm, maybe the gap between Chicago and Phoenix...maybe he'll do the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans on 10/28 or 10/29. That would be too perfect, since I'm going to be there anyway.

Palace of Fine Arts is a very nice and small auditorium with excellent acoustics. It seats about 1000, I think. It's also located in one of the treasure buildings of San Francisco and right on the bay. Go to http://www.palaceoffinearts.org/ and click "pictures".

Blocks in downtown San Francisco are not very big. However, you need to be careful because just a few blocks from Union Square are some not-so-great neighborhoods. I can help you through PM, if you want.

BART is an excellent system, but it doesn't really get you around within San Francisco. That would be MUNI. I think our public transportation system is quite good.

Anyway, if you want to run some of the hotels by me through PM, I can let you know about the neighborhoods, etc.

PenguinHead 09-06-2006 02:15 PM

I'm dismayed that he isnt' coming anywhere near Portland, Oregon! :distress: During his Out of The Cradle tour he played here at an intimate but decent size venue. The place was packed, and the audience was hyper-charged, and completely blown away by the show. He got such an amazing overwhelming response from the crowd. I get chills just remembering it. Out the hundreds of concerts I've seen, this show still stands out as one of the top five most memorable. Could it be he still remembers that during a quiet point in the show, some idiot yelled out "Where's Stevie?" It got a big laugh from the audience, but I'm sure he wasn't too happy about it.

FINALLY! The above are all possibilities for me - we'll see how it goes! This is all so exciting!

I am crossing my fingers for a Woodstock, NY show like he did for OOTC. He's got a NYC date at Town Hall, where I saw him on his last solo outing. LINDSEY!!!!!!!

Paula - no NYC for you???

goldustsongbird 09-06-2006 08:00 PM

:( The only Canadian date so far is Vancouver? Thanks a lot, Linds!

MiniLindsey 09-06-2006 08:31 PM

Closest to me is Atlantic City, about an hour away. Maybe I'll be able to make that one?

wondergirl9847 09-06-2006 10:26 PM

New dates!

Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Santa Barbara and Denver! November will be pretty busy for me. I can't find any website for the Van Centre in Vancouver. The Paramount looks amazing! Off to look at the Newmark!

For Vancouver, it could be The Centre, in Vancouver for Performing Arts. Seats about 1845, which is consistant with what he seems to be booking in.

macmar71 09-07-2006 06:52 AM

Anyone know what the set up is like at New York's Town Hall? This will probably be the only other show I get besides the CT Foxwoods one. No word on ticket sale for it yet? I don't see it listed on Town Hall's website as of yesterday. Which Ledgies are going to this show?

Hey Christa, this is the one show I'll make. The website still doesn't have info on the show, but they do have a great interactive seating chart, so you can see what your view will be from the different locations in the hall. http://www.the-townhall-nyc.org/page...ing-chart.html
