My god... I was seriously sucked in by the first one!!!!!:o

but I so agree with you .... the real one is shocking too!

Poor thing! I feel sorry for her.

Yeah, if you get that thing where all the bones between your "breasts" show, it's time. I was thinking today. She says she doesn't eat when she's stressed. She is so thin that I conclusively don't believe that, now. You have to never, ever, ever eat to be that thin. And what could Nicole Ritchie possibly be that stressed about? She could gain 10 lbs. and maybe look normal.
Also, she has access to chefs and stuff. You know, she could find something to eat. Could she possibly be that busy?
Maybe she's that busy lying. Nicole just made a huge withdrawal at the first bank of lies. :distress:

Well really, she's like 5 pounds less away from looking like the first photo. This is just not how a healthy human looks, even if you are naturally thin.

Livia 08-21-2006 11:31 PM

Perez said it was photoshopped.

It is very easy to develop an eating disorder and these things dont differentiate between rich/poor, You can very quickly become obsessed with looking thin and then you start thinking that you look "fat" and it doesnt matter how many people tell you, you think you know better.... When I was 18 I was the same height as I am now (close to 5ft8in) and weighed 48Kilos, I thought I was fat.... I am now 36 and now weigh 60Kilo aussie size 10 which I think is an 8 in US, and People still tell me I am thin.. It wasnt until a friend broke down in front of me, telling me that she feared for my health that I actually listened and started eating healthy again.., It really does stuff your mind though.. (I hated being pregnant because I couldnt stop thinking about how "fat" I looked... and thats close to 17 years ago that I had my weight "problem") You just have to convince yourself that the mirror is your friend not your enemy and get past your internal imagination of your body image..... I think that Nicole Ritchie has moved into the "I see a fat person" mode when she looks in the mirror... there is no rational way of thinking....

I hope that she can work through it and put a little bit of healthy weight back onto that body...

I really believe that if you're in the Hollywood world, you have to have a lot of will power and confidence to maintain a good self image. I mean, they verbally/mentally lambast those women if they gain a few pounds here and there. And then their pictures are always in magazines. I'm sure if you are a fragile person, which it appears Nicole Ritchie may be, you can get very insecure if people start berating you solely on your looks. Never mind your brain or personality; it's image that sells.

I feel very sad for them. I admit that I am an extremely health conscious person and work out every day, as well as watch my diet and avoid soft drinks and sugar (for the most part). But my whole thing is more health oriented, wheras most of these people just starve themselves because thin is in. And yet, there are SO many gorgeous women out there that defy that Hollywood stereotype. And good for them. It's amazing to see women who aren't 85 pound stick insects on television. I think Kate Winslet and Jennifer Lopez are a hell of a lot prettier than Calista Flockhart and Lara Flynn Boyle (correct me if I spelled those wrong).

It kind of makes you feel good to be normal. Atleast you know that when you want a steak or a cupcake, you can eat them without worrying what the world will think. And of course there's that whole think about your metabolism not being shot out...

Well, I'm off my soapbox I suppose. :)

Maybe she realizes her 15 minutes of fame are up, and Paris' for some odd reason is continuing to stay in the spotlight.

Karlie 08-22-2006 03:55 PM

I met her a few months ago and she didn't look that skinny in real life.

What does that have to do with her being too thin? Oh, wait, you mean she's doing it to stay in the news? Hmmmm.....

Maybe she loved that everyone kept saying "wow, you look so great!" when she started losing weight to begin with, and subconciously kept losing more & more to feed (hee) off of that attention. Of course, I don't think many people are saying that to her anymore.

Maybe she's back on H.

I agree on that one! Nicole's best friend was Paris who is only renowned for her image, and that image is long and svelte. There is no way Nicole will ever have quite that glamour and I think that wound up getting to her. Although I thought she was much more attractive with the weight on than she is now. It is very sad. These women who seem to have everything starving themselves.
