Lindsey Buckingham is a multi-platinum enigma -- massively successful and still somehow an enduring, intriguing mystery. As an individual artist, Buckingham has remained a curiously low-profile figure, despite decades of high visibility as a member of Fleetwood Mac -- the legendary band for which he has long served as a visionary leader and bold sonic architect.

Before he joined Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham was sketching out his brand of Brian Wilson-influenced pop with Stevie Nicks in the folky duo Buckingham Nicks. Mick Fleetwood invited the duo to join his band in late 1974. After Buckingham joined, the band's pop tendencies flowered under his direction. Not only did he provide the group with some brilliant, surprisingly dark pop songs, he sharpened the other members' songs with his production, arrangements, and breathtaking guitar playing. Buckingham left the band after their 1987 album, Tango in the Night, to concentrate on his solo work.
While Buckingham's solo albums are deceptively simple and calm on the surface, there are complex arrangements and emotions beneath the smooth production. None of them have sold anything approaching the level of Rumours -- or even Tango in the Night -- yet they are rich, layered pop albums; his first solo record, Law & Order, had a hit single with "Trouble."

So, who's going? Falls Church is 3 1/2 hours from me....so I'm definitely making the drive.

Well a friend of mine bought a ticket for me since I was unable to go online at 5PM. If this is opening night then I will go but I really want to see the whole tour schedule to decide where I want to go.

Once again we fans found out the info before the official website let us know about anything.

Yeah, no kidding. The tour is clearly routed- when will his website announce it?

C'mon, JS- you probably already have the album- throw us a bone with some tour dates!

I'll be there. :) I was debating on how far I'd travel, but he's made it so easy for me.

Just FYI, the venue is saying this show will likely be canceled. My friend called this afternoon to ask about the seating/standing arrangement and reserve a table for us in case the GA area wasn't right in front of the stage, and this is what she was told. Obviously that's not official word, but just throwing it out there in case people are already canceling vacations or getting time off from work and all.

Looking forward to your photo journals!!!!! Hope you go to lots of shows!!!!!! As you know I have always loved the pics you share with us here. I hope I can get to one or two of his shows if they do happen. This cancel thing is not sounding good to me.

Oh thanks. That is so nice to hear. I do hope to get to go to a lot of shows but who knows. I need to find the dates out first. I hope that you do get to go to a show. Maybe I will see you there. Don't worry I plan on taking lots of photos. I hope that cameras are allowed at these venues.

Hey Christy! I'm not sure, she didn't say if they gave a reason or not. I'm going to call the theatre tomorrow morning and ask about it. Sometimes the employees don't know what they're talking about anyway, so it could just be misinformation. If it does get canceled, I would hope it's because of logistics or last-minute adjustments in the tour schedule rather than a concern over sales - I mean, they hardly gave him a chance. It seems a bit premature to pull the plug on it after only a couple days of ticket sales with zip in the promotion department and no official announcement that the show even existed. Plus these venues are so small, it's hard for me to believe that Lindsey couldn't fill them up, my partiality as a fan aside. Hopefully we'll know what's up when Jessica posts the full tour itinerary.
