Favorite Bass Solo

I can't decide between the one in "Atomic" or "You Can Call Me Al" or "The Chain" bass solo. Those off the top of my head.
I'm leaning towards Atomic.

Those songs are obvious, so I'd like to hear others' picks. You know, people who know a lot of music? :woohoo:

an awesome Bass line is from (of all things) The Chain, by John Mc Vie.

another favorite is the bass line from Down on the Corner(Willie and the poor boys) by CCR.

FOREVER is a song by a little known band, known as Fleetwood Mac.

Dot, dot, dot, is to show my frustration that "forever with a period" is only EIGHT characters, and the board won't let me post it.

Oh, I don't know, "Roundabout" was the first thing that came to mind.
There are a lot of songs with bass lines I love, but I can't think of as many solos I love, at least not in rock.

I don't like bass solos. :sorry:

It's 'cause you don't have the funk, David. You've given up that funk.

One of my favorite bass parts is played by the superb Paul Chambers on a piece called "Flamenco Sketches" on a Miles Davis album called "Kind of Blue."

I once heard you play "Rage Over a Lost Penny," dave, & it made me cry it was so poignant.

And the Primus guy. None of those would be my favorite though.

OK, I'll go with the intro from Higher Ground. So cool that it's his bass in place of Stevie Wonder's keys.

we want the funk, you gotta have that funk

Here is Rodney Curtis with Parliament. He isn't as wild to look at as Bootsy Collins is, but it is a good solo.
