This will be the centerpiece of the set for my new fleetwood mac tribute group I'm forming. We are only doing songs from 1969 to 1974, & will include Christine material from her nonFM projects. We need you to join! Why don't you join my band for once?

Here's a rough planned set list:

1. DRAGONFLY
2. Emerald Eyes
3. The Derelict
4. Child of Mine
5. Angel
6. Forever
7. Remember Me
8. Dust
9. Did You Ever Love Me
10. Hypnotized
11. Keep On Going
12. Sunny Side of Heaven
13. Caught In The Rain
14. Tell Me All The Things You Do
15. Spare Me A Little
16. Future Games
17. Station Man
18. Gone Into The Sun
19. Heroes Are Hard To Find
20. Sands Of Time
21. Come A Little Bit Closer
22. I'm On My Way
23. Woman of 1000 Years
24. Prove Your Love

I'd love the chords/Tab to Dust if you have them. I posted a request for the chords a few weeks ago and got no responses.

I knew you would be interested! My old drummer, Jason, is also interested, & so is Kim, who can sing so well.

This could be a *really* fun project. We wouldn't get hired for anything special but we could have comfortable fun. I have a lot of homework to do, learning all those songs.

chiliD 07-14-2006 11:37 AM

How close to the original recordings are you planning on being? Is there "wiggle room" for the guitarist to stray from the suffocating confines of "note-for-note" renditions?

Oh, I don't ever demand those note-for-note renditions. I have found that nobody can really deliver on such a task anyway. It's best just to let the singers & players go for what they individually think sounds best. It's all within bounds of reason, of course--who the hell would want "Did You Ever Love Me" to sound like "Ina Gadda da Vida"?! You know, we've got to learn the same chords to the songs!
:blob2: :blob1:

Man, we are gonna RAWK!! We wanna practice at Hothouse in Santa Fe Springs. Best rehearsal studios around.

SANTA FE SPRINGS!?!?! You nuts?

What's wrong with that place around the corner from the Fountain Valley Guitar Center? (is it even still there?) Or, Sound Arena in Anaheim?

The Fountain Valley place isn't worth much. Sound Arena in Anaheim totally SUCKS. They don't even air-condition their ****ing rooms--they're total cheapskates--& their equipment sucks. It's seedy & run down in there, & it smells like urine-soaked dead bodies. I always use the house guitar amps when I'm there, so I need decent guitar amps.

Hothouse is the best rehearsal spot I've ever used. Nice, cool air, comfortable surroundings, good lighting, good equipment, attentive management, etc. It can't be beat.

I believe in total comfort when I work on my music. I don't "rough it." That's another thing: our band won't play bars or most clubs. We will play only well-organized festivals, private parties & casinos. We will go wherever there is a decent backline & total comfort for everyone in the band. We're not teenagers anymore! We go in STYLE & we go in COMFORT!

Wow. Who do you think you are, Stevy Nicks??:wavey:
My band is comprised of complete money whores! We don't lowball, but will play anywhere that the money is.
BTW- gotta run for a gig now. :wavey:   :wavey:

I will be happy for 4 hours this evening.....:)
