Stevie's Next Album..
What do you think would be a great title for the next Stevie Nicks Album?
I vote for: Night Gallery |

Here's the lineup: 1. The Crystal (Beautiful Ghost) 2. All the Beautiful Worlds 3. Sisters of the Moon (acoustic remake) 4. All the King's Horses 5. Annabel Lee 6. What Are You Doing in My Life (Petty cover) 7. The Circle Dance (duet with Dave Matthews) 8. Jimmy, Come On Back 9. The Forest of the Black Roses 10. What's Goin' On (Marvin Gaye cover) |
How about "Bitch Please"
(jk your not a bitch) |
I don't know what Stevie's next album should be called - but I think it should be a concept album, similar to what David Bowie's "Toy" is going to be. A collection of demos and songs written back in the 70s and 80s that did not make it onto the final cuts of older albums - and re-record them for the new one. It can include songs like:
Beautiful Ghosts Don't Treat Me Like A Stranger Annabel Lee Chanel Chanel Forest of the Black Roses Mirror Mirror Ooh Ooh Baby Joan of Arc Have No Heart The Children Go On (In Spoken Word) Sanctuary etc... And I think the producer should be Rupert Hine (Don't shoot me! His newer productions with people like Suzanne Vega are incredible!!) Good idea  |
Her next album should be called "Body Count" and it should have songs written in chronological order about the men in her life - or it could be called "Legends, Priests of Nothing". She'd probably have enough songs to fill an album.

"Wishful Thinking"

How about "Big Ole Jiggling Birds of Rhiannon" or "Birds of Rhiannon - watch them a jiggle"
|
How about "Desert Oasis" It seems like the Desert is where she always retreats to either realx, or recover from something painful. She has been there quite a bit after losing her father, coming home from tours, getting back to normal after SA, etc.

I just want an album. but, if I had my way, it would be Crystal Visions and be a collection of duets, raw cuts, and updated classics.

hmmm...another studio album? Thats difficult.. I always felt "Free Fallin" should've been an album title but there you go... i also kinda like "Dreamscapes" for some reason (from Stephen Kings' "nightmares and dreamscapes")...

New Stevie album
I just long for the day when i read in the music news that she has gone back into the studio. Having seen and heard some of the stuff she has done lately (with Don/Tom/Gold dust) i think she shoulod get it done. Maybe get TP & TH to help her record some of those great old songs that never did get released (officially anyway!!!)
Hopefully she'll get it done, while she is in such fine voice, and before the next Mac jaunt! I mean, how long would it take for her to select 12-14 of those wonderful demo's and get them down (produced by Tom or Jimmy Iovine). Sanctuary/Julia/She loves him still/All the king's horses etc etc could make it a Bella Donna 2 (almost!) Come on Stevie get back in the studio!!! Dave |

Desert Oasis and Dreamscapes sound very good.
How about "Phoenix" with Stevie on the cover with her arms open wide with a shawl, a la GDW pose. |

Seriously, don't get all huffy. You don't have to agree or disagree with anyone. No one said you had to. I'd personally love another Bella Donna-like album. Mmm, Petty/Nicks collaborations. Etc. |

How about "Thrill of the Night".. a nod to the lead track..."All The Beautiful Worlds".

What, no love for Castaway??? I'd love to hear that song done today.
I know people think I'm crazy but I would totally love to hear Stevie do an album produced by Trent Reznor or some other great from the goth/industrial world. Look at how great that Planets remix come out. That was very dark and gothic, I think. And it would be really cool to hear more of the old demos pulled out and given new life. The first half of Trouble In Shangri La was very dark and atmospheric, and that was mostly her old demos. |
i think Trent Reznor would be a great idea as producer for stevie's next album. I think someone who would help to create atmosphere - Rick Rubin maybe.
Just going back a bit, i know i suggested that Stevie could make Bella Donna 2, but i meant that she could make an album that was magical from start to finish, where each song is unique and classy (Bella Donna). I was not saying she should copy that album and try to recreate it (SO CHILL!!) Dave |

Her next album should be self-titled. then she wont feel so pressured to make it a perfect "concept" album.
|
I feel teedee's next album should be a beuaitiful ethereal affare, filled with mists & dragons breath & little unicorns that frollic & prance in the snowy woods.
 :wavey: Plus it should have a duet with Henry rollins and another duet with Ann & Nancy Wilson. |
