This, I'm pretty sure, is the exact same Weedsport, NY show David posted, just a different version.

So back in 1986, did people leave the shows bitching that she only sang 11 songs?

upontheventura 06-25-2006 07:00 AM

This is the Weedsport show. The Jones Beach shows were horrible quality sound wise anyway.

Well even though its 11 songs its still a very long show. Lots of those songs are long. I know there was a long long guitat solo before SDMHA. Also, a long drum solo before Stand Back. Then you gotta figure she took her sweet ass time to get to the stage before every song.

Fourteen was the minimum number of songs she did at any point on the 1986 tour.

But ... people will bitch about anything! :D

She was really struggling with her voice in '86..trying to pace herself.

::::D drum roll:::::::: lol

I guess they needed the long solos so the roadies could blow the coke up her ass in between songs.

I bet they added alot of kleenex to the the Tour Riders in 86

Dead horse jokes, im sorry Rock A Little tour jokes just NEVER get old:] !

There's this japanese article for auction on ebay with these three pics as part of the article - I just snagged the pic from that auction... Be nice to see a larger one.

I think the reason She only did 11 songs at Weedsport is because it was some kinda festival where she wouldn't play as long.Correct me if I'm wrong.

01. Gold Dust Woman
02. Outside the Rain
03. Dreams
04. Talk to Me
05. I Need to Know
06. No Spoken Word
07. Sara
08. Beauty and the Beast
09. I Can't Wait
10. Leather and Lace
11. Stand Back
12. Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
13. Edge of Seventeen
14. Rhiannon
15. Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You

JAZMEN,,,, you still have to show me more! please
i just searched around looking for what thread this was on! :lol;

I only last night started listening to this show, and i actually really enjoy it. Yes it may be so from what i have gathered she was having some difficulty with her voice and her health, but i also really like the stong sound of her voice and the change in tone and rhythm throughout. I have only listened to three songs so far: Talk to me, beauty and the beast, how still my love. I m not sure if i listened to outside the rain, but i didn't like dreams

Janis_no1 06-29-2006 05:56 AM

YEP HOW STILL MY LOVE KICKS ARSE!!

Listening to it now, and it absolutely rocks, how come no one has mentioned it??

I would love to hear this show. I've been curious about that set list for years. A fan tour database shows Gypsy playing between I Can't Wait and Leather and Lace at the April 11, 1986 opening night show in Houston.

I ripped "Gypsy"--quality is pretty bad, however.

The 4.11.86 show was the first RAL show I got on tape. In 86, I was part of a large network of fans who went to each show (or as many as we could get to) & taped it & circulated it immediately. So all the April shows came in first, then the May shows, etc. etc.

Mystery solved! Thanks for sharing that file, David!

The Fix and FM Legacy will have to update their pages!
