According to the Nix Fix Stevie will be touring with Tom Petty for his 1st 8 shows!!!!!!!:blob2: :] What do you think she will sing other than the obvious??:shrug:

I was surprised that she's doing shows with him on the eastern part of his tour. I was hoping for west coast, but oh well. I'm happy for those who can take atvantage of going though! :wavey:

I am raging mad. It's all I've ever wanted to see. I mean, I'm happy for the east coasters, but I'm mad they're not doing it over here, where Stevie lives. :rolleyes:
Seriously, in my head I just called her a bitch.

If it makes you feel better, the tickets have been on sale for a while, so there may not be many seats left for those who would go just because Stevie's going to be there. I just checked MSG and they didn't have any pairs of seats left. Single seats were available way up high. She might show up for additional dates anyway. Really, what's stopping her?

Just thought of something. Bogdanovich is doing that documentary on Tom and should be following him this tour... So Stevie will definately be in that - somewhere...

I know how you feel. It's exciting that she's playing with him but I'm bummed at the same time cause I really want to see them together.

I think she'll do the CA shows. They haven't announced them yet, and they won't be until September or October.

As for what songs they will do, I think it will be SDMHA, a cover or two, and she'll sing along to a couple of Tom Petty songs. Maybe Free Fallin'. Sadly, I don't see them doing "Insider", just like Stevie and Henley didn't do "Highwayman" or "Reconsider Me".

I'm too lazy to dig for it, but in previous Petty threads where the Bogdanovich film is mentioned, it was noted that Stevie was one of the people he planned to feature in it. So, yay!

I don't know, but do those guys always announce things ten days after everyone else announces them? :laugh: :laugh:

By the time the Nicks Fix posts Stevie's obituary, she'll have been reincarnated as Lindsey's brother & won a Silver Medal in freestyle again.

Unless she asks not to have footage of herself in this documentary.

she's been known to quash videos of herself periodically.

or maybe she'll ask to reshoot closeups, to be inserted in the concert footage!

Just got my tix for the COLUMBUS show 6-14.

Seats are not great but I hope the show is awesome!

Crap! My schedule won't allow me to fly to the East coast to see these shows! But I will see Tom Petty when he comes to Oregon. However, wouldn't it be nice if they peformed these songs together:

Stop Dragging My Heart Around (obvious)
I Will Run To You
Needles And Pins
The Apartment Song
Insider
Free Falling

I think it's a huge suprise as to what she will sing. The only obvious choice is Stop Sragging My Heart Around. But there's Insider and Needles and Pins, and of Course Free Fallin and I Need To Know, maybe a cover or two and she could sing on Don't Come Around Here No More, and then there's I Will Run to You, but I don't think they'd play a rarer Stevie song at a Tom Petty concert, so i'm guessing any 4 of the above mentioned songs. It'll probably be 3 during the middle of the set and one at the encore. She'll slink on during one of his songs to do harmony, launch into SDMHA for song #2 and then suprise #1, then Suprise #2 for encore. I could completely wrong too :laugh:

I'm going, but what pisses me off is that I had planned on getting lawn seats since it was just going to be Tom petty initially. Now I feel like I have to score GOOD seats. *Sigh*
