People On Other Message Boards

I know I'm not supposed to bring up business from other message boards, but I read those other boards like the rest of you & I have my favorite posters. But since I can't post on some of those boards, I don't know who those people are. I like these people because they post interesting things or nice pictures or they are funny. Who are they? If you are here, please speak up & introduce yourself!

Creeping Death
Stinky
Gypsy0033
Starshine
SortaSavageLike
snozzberry field

cliffdweller 05-18-2006 01:37 PM

Someone's user name is Stinky? Now THAT is rich

David, what is with your peculiar, esoteric interests? You crack me up without trying.

By the way, I've always liked Creeping Death's user name. I take it it's from the Metallica song of the same name?

Rickypt 05-18-2006 01:52 PM

Creeping Death used to post here and had the best one liners.

Why can't you post at other boards?

We, of course, love him.

I don't know anyone who goes by the psuedoname "SortaSavageLike."

It is a funny name, though.

vermicious knid 05-18-2006 05:52 PM

I am Snozzberry Field. I should have just given myself the same name over there, because I also find it helpful when I see names that match.

thanks! Nope, I didn't take them. I have never been to Wisconsin, but I'd like to go one day. I have a hankering to see the town of Racine & to test-taste a variety of local cheeses.

Alpine is a very cool old music venue. I saw the Free Tibet concert there in 1999. Great atmosphere there. That's where Stevie Ray Vaughn died too.

While you're there, you simply must stop at Woodman's outside Kenosha. It's the largest supermarket in... well... it's big. As is everything in it. And the cheese section really can't be beat.

Also, Milwaukee really is a very pretty city. And the Miller Brewery Tour is absolutely worth the trip.

Make sure you buy some fireworks while you're in the state, too. And eat at a Culver's.

Damn, what a magical place. I miss Wisconsin. I need to get my ass back to Chicago one of these days.

Gosh, really? I had no idea... I lived there for four years and always wondered why the Wisconsin postal code was "IL." I always assumed it was because the mailman knew that Wisconsin was some ILl ****.

Dude, I miss Wisconsin, but I don't want to actually live in Wisconsin. I just want it to be close at hand, ready to dazzle me with its myriad charms whenever the fancy should strike me. On a good day, the drive from the northern Chicago suburbs to Milwaukee is exactly the length of a single mix CD:

1. Cheap Trick, "That 70's Show" theme song
2. Van Halen, "Panama"
3. Bruce Springsteen, "No Surrender"
4. Tom Petty, "Runnin' Down A Dream"
5. Nena, "99 Luftballons"
6. Queen, "Fat Bottomed Girls"
7. "Flaming Moe's" from The Simpsons
8. The Darkness, "Friday Night"
9. Neil Young, "Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)"
10. Cyndi Lauper, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"
11. Foreigner, "Hot Blooded"
12. Whitesnake, "Here I Go Again"
13. Loverboy, "Working For The Weekend"
14. Violent Femmes, "American Music"
15. Fleetwood Mac, "Go Your Own Way"
16. AC(lightningbolt)DC, "Moneytalks"
17. Spin Doctors, "Two Princes"
18. John Denver, "Take Me Home, Country Roads"
19. Thin Lizzy, "The Boys Are Back In Town"

Greetings, David. As you can see by my registration date I'm not exactly new here, but kind of a lurker. I admit I defected to "the other board" when the Ledge went down last year. Yep, I'm a trader.

Although, now that college is slowing down for the summer and I have more free time I'll probably start posting on both boards again.

No sh*t, Sherlock. "Trader" isn't a typo. It's the WRONG word, not a misspelling.
But thanks for playing, Righter of all Wrongs.....

If ANYONE was ever self-absorbed, it is you, oh self-righteous one.:xoxo:

I guess I was confused by you saying "I can always spare one" because I didn't know how you had anything to do with anything. Sorreh. I guess you meant you are that person, and you can spare a head. *snicker*
Well, I have to say, A Cancer with Mars in Leo who is an only child talking to a Leo man about self absorption is kind of funny (you know Linds has Mars in Leo? you know a really high proportion of Presidents have Mars in Leo?).
But I submit you take the cake, as men are naturally more self absorbed, and in the end, the Leo always beats the Cancer for self absorption. However! Point taken, a**hole. But only to be nice. ;) See how I'm willing to be nice???
I win!!! I win!!!
also, being self righteous can be completely independent of being self absorbed, Monkey Brain.
And, admit it, Selfabsorbo is a hella funny superhero name. I've got to call SNL.

irishgrl 05-19-2006 06:54 AM

looked to me like he meant you were both?

and I must remember that calling someone an a**hole is "nice"

edit: I forgot. Im on "ignore" oh well......

See, snowman, she already explained it. It comes naturally - and it's all the fault of astrology.

A Cancer with Mars in Leo who is an only child blah blah who gives a ****...

Why she can't just take credit for her own bitchiness is beyond me.
I think I'm pretty good about taking credit for mine.

Cheese section- pssh. The liquor selection is OFF THE HOOK.

My favorite is Mars Cheese Castle right off 94 just before Kenosha. The only place I can consistently find my favorite candy, Sweet's cinnamon bears.

Damn, you beat me to it.

The problem with astrology is that it doesn't end in an -ism. If it did, we could reunite it with its sister philosophies - racism and sexism - and have it thoroughly condemned by society at large.

I can't believe they actually still print this stuff in the newspaper every day. Can you imagine if you looked up from your crossword and there was a sidebar saying, "Jewish: This is a good month for you. You will lend money to many people and collect a lot of interest, and your iron grip on the entertainment industry will remain in tact. Don't sweat the small stuff when others question your militant Zionism." Or, "Woman: Today is a 4. As a member of the weaker and less rational sex, you may experience several emotional breakdowns today. Try not to think too hard about politics or science, and things should start looking up tomorrow." Or, "Black: You tend to be lazy and dimwitted, but it's time to start taking some initiative. Start by hijacking someone's car today."

Because she's always right, and always has been.

Plz. First of all, I was joking around with you. Second, I love how it's always the biggest ***** who accuse me of "always being right", when they know they are "always right" just as much as I am if not more, or else it wouldn't bother them. I believe I've apologized several times on this board when I haven't been right.
Also, it's hilarious that it's always the biggest bitches who call me a bitch. Oh, the irony.

Second, I have the decorum to place people who bug me on ignore, so as to minimize conflict. But those same people seem to keep me off of their ignore list no matter how much they don't like me, ostensibly to take every opportunity to try to insult me, to bring as much negativity to the board as they possibly can. Practically following me around to insult me, it seems. I could be flattered they are seemingly so fascinated with me that they go out of their way to address me - but instead I just think they're pathetic, and wonder why they waste so much time on something they don't like.

Third - I always talk about astrology, and everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, but to dismiss something when you obviously know very little about it is odd. For instance, I've never had lobster, so I certainly wouldn't presume to say I don't like it. You know, since I know nothing about how it tastes? And if you did know more, you would know that the horoscopes in the newspaper aren't really what astrology is about.

Fourth, I wasn't using astrology to make an excuse, I was using it as a tool, a web of language, to explain an aspect of my behavior. And I was always talking about my astrological aspects, that are a part of me, which is hardly deflecting responsibility for my behavior. In fact, it is the opposite, I ascribed behaviors to myself. I simply used astrological terms to describe them. Which you would have already realized and understood if you had used your logic and reading comprehension skills, instead of your reactionary and insulting ones.

I must not be considered to have much of a sense of humour, because it seems even when I say something with tongue firmly planted in cheek -- or try to use humour to diffuse a tense situation -- someone mistakes my intentions and thinks the comment was meant in a harsh way.
