Ryan's not wearing pants! Make sure they're within reach because you know how the weather can change.

I'm so psyched too, not long ago it was FREEZING. Like just last week, right? So strange.

I'm wearing a skirt and bare legs! It's sunny and 55 degrees and I feel like we've been temporarily granted reprieve from Chicago's weather tyranny.

55? That's cooooooooold to me.

I think it's going to get up to 80 today

skcin 03-30-2006 10:45 AM

It's about 65 here, 70 tomorrow. Gotta love "warmer than normal temperatures" here.

Pssh. Texas.

The high today is 70, and it's beautiful out with the sun shining for the first time in weeks. We had snow last week. So 55 is beeeeauuuutiful.

Rickypt 03-30-2006 11:03 AM

We just tied a record of most rainy days in March, but I'm leaving tomorrow for the east coast and will finally be reminded what the sun looks like. :blob2:

It's supposed to rain well into April. And it's scheduled to rain on the Giants home opener next Thursday. :(

We'd better get a damn good summer!

catinthedark 03-30-2006 11:37 AM

why, oh why does the united states insist on keeping the imperial system? is it the last country in the world to hold on to it? i seriously have nooooo idea how warm or not warm it is where you guys are! i have no idea what 55 degrees is, or 70 or 80!

Thanks for posting the converter Ryan.

Catinthedark--it's still cold where you are. Anything below 70 is cold to me.

I really don't know. Our teachers taught us in grade school because they had to but then we always used Farenheit temps to reference the weather anyway. Same with the metric system. We were supposedly going to convert but I don't know what happened there.

Metric is not the only thing they're behind on. Take a look at their money.

macfanken 03-31-2006 01:44 PM

It's been really nice here the last few weeks... very springlike... the flowers and trees are blooming! It was a mild winter, I didn't see any ice or snow... which makes me very happy!

I almost took my clothes off in the middle of the road today. I was so hot! I was advised against it however, because, so I'm told, it's illegal.

Miss Vicky 03-31-2006 04:40 PM

It is cold and raining AGAIN here in "sunny" California.

I'm so sick of this crap.

 Damn that would've been funny! It was really hot walking to work this morning which was surreal. I have a date tonight too, so its a good night for it!

estranged4life 03-31-2006 04:44 PM

I've been wearing shorts...

almost all week long, been in the 70's/80's...I love this weather, though the tornadoes yesterday were a bummer, but typical is the Oklahoma springtime (ie-The May 3,1999 tornado which was a then class F5 with a recorded wind speed of 318 MPH, Which was off the scale since the highest recording for F5 is 316 MPH)

Only about 1.5 months til the usual 100+ temps of early summer, And with the severe drought in effect here I am sure the 118 record temp of 2003 (with humidity) will go down in flames. The portion of Oklahoma (SouthWestern) I live is second to only to Death Valley, CA in high heat during summer months...And everything outside is a bland shade of gold/brown when it should be green.

Bring on the warm weather...

Where'd you get a date? What's he like? Where are you going? How long have you known him?
Can you tell it's been awhile?
Oh, and it's raining again. We broke the record for most days/mo. raining. I'm ready to put the smack down on someone.

I'd also like to add: Do not, I repeat DO NOT buy those new Hershey's Almond Joy cookies. They are so good, you will eat them all.

Yeah. I want to keep losing, I'd like to lose 8 more during April. I brought the cookies to work and shared a few of them.

Well done on the diet amber.

I've just started on a little change of diet. Hopefully it'll put a bit more energy in my step and I'll lose a couple of inches in the process. Must keep off the chocolate though. It's always my downfall.

I don't believe in people losing weight for the sake of other people though. I think if someone wants to lose weight for health reasons or if they have to on medical advice or most importantly you just "feel" you need to slim down either 'cos you need to fit into those old jeans  or to just feel better then great. Society makes too much of being slim because of looks alone. Unless somebody I'm dating is clinically obese then it doesn't bother me quite honestly. It sounds like a cliche but eyes and personality win every time for me, I'm not so sure it's the same for many of my buddies.

wondergirl9847 03-31-2006 09:43 PM

Lol

Yep, because when they are 75, allllll that matters...is how hot you are.

I started walking 20 minutes, 3 times a week, back in January and have been using the Gazelle that my dad bought a few years ago and just put back in the den. LOL I have floated between 130 and 140 (I am about 5 foot 1) for many, many years now. I'd like to lose my gut and my hips need to be slimmer, but overall, I'm cool with me. :)
