This one is easy. I hate Carly Simon and could never really get into Joni's stuff. I don't know all that much Patti Smith, but what I've heard was just alright. Bonnie all the way!

I don't quite get how this work. I thought Tom Petty would be one of these four if he advanced to the next round? So, he'll show up later?

Tough one but I went with Joni Mitchell because of her influence on so many female artists. Never have seen her live although I did see a man in drag doing Joni Mitchell opening up for Natalie Merchant at a concert in San Diego.

Joni and Patti are on {almost} the same level for me. However, in the end- it's Joni.

Although, Patti singing "Revenge" is something Joni could never pull off.

I could drink a case of Joni Mitchell, and STILL be on my feet...;)

"The Dimming of the Day" live makes me melt! Her voice oozes heartache like no one else's. Sometimes I think her writing can be a bit hokey (the fun, bluesy stuff), but her guitar playing is amazing and when it all comes together she really nails it.

I actually liked Bonnie before I liked Stevie. When I was little I saw her on tv and thought she looked like Rogue from the X-men, which automatically made her cool :laugh:
