Stevie's bangs

Does anyoone else want Stevie to go bang-less? I really hate the bangs to be honest!

I like her hair like this much better...

That's a great picture... I like her hair a lot in that one.

krrrby 02-25-2006 01:18 PM

Yes I hate the bangs...it just makes me think of 1997...she's getting lazier with her hair...

I would love it if she had the SYW hair but with her hair more wavy...not curly perm but wavy...think of the picture that posted of her and mick at the arlington thing, I think that's what it was called...the tombs of all the soldiers.

Sahara 02-25-2006 01:58 PM

I like that picture.

But I guess I've never really thought about the bangs all that much. What's this? Some aspect of Stevie's haistyle I _haven't_ considered deeply and analysed within an inch of its life?

 #What's the world coming to?# :D

Yes, I loved her hair like that in that picture. I think it is time for a change to be honest. But, I don't want her to shorten her hair to be shorter. Some people a while ago were talking about Stevie getting a "bob" and I was horrified! I think short hair makes women look way older. And besides, Stevie couldn't whip her hair into her face at the end of Rhiannon. It just wouldn't be as dramatic without the long, blonde hair!

 A bob? :distress: Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

No way!

I had a bob when I was younger and I hated it with a passion. My hair now hits my waist and the only thing I can really say about it is Never Going Back Again.

I know! Can you believe anyone would want Stevie (of all people) to get a bob? She wouldn't be Stevie without long, blonde hair.

She certainly wouldn't. That idea is .... I don't even know what it is!

Was it put out as just a fan speculation or did it have an actual ground?

StreetAngel86 02-25-2006 06:18 PM

favorite Stevie hair............uh oh
you KNOW i'm going to pipe up and comment on Blue Denim
sorry but that hair is GORGEOUS!!

recently tho i LOVED her hair in DR......like when they were in the rehearsals or wotever for Everybody Finds Out and she had her curly-but-not-Street-Angel-era curly :woohoo:

http://www.buckinghamnicks.net/bn/slphotos/SnLDR17.html

I also loved the cover shoot AND when they were sitting around rehearsing when her hair was straight and she had a whispy grown out fringe WOOT that was HOT!

As you age, bangs tend to be more flattering. I *hated* when she had those short bangs and she wore the crystal thingie on her forehead. But I like it when her bangs are lighter and longer, if that makes sense. Let me find a picture. Okay, this is what I don't love when Stevie has bangs:

I think she looks prettier when they're a bit more wispy and kind of pushed to the side. I also wish she would put some lowlights in her hair- that would make her look younger too.

amber 02-25-2006 08:27 PM

Those short bangs are my favorite, I don't like them longer they pull down her brow and hood her eyes too much. They also aren't as flattering for her cheekbones.

yeah, why not? I'm not sure they have to be, I just want her to keep them shorter than she has been.

THINKABOUTIT 02-25-2006 11:41 PM

Ok...I personally PREFER Stevie WITH bangs  ...I think that sans the bangs...she looks alot older. I also just think the bangs simply suit all that she is, if that makes sense  I do like her hair wavy and I also like it straight....but in my opinion, the bangs NEED TO STAY!!! NOT the SHORT bangs like in BTM, those were too short. Just, slightly longer, whipsier bangs!

What a gorgeous picture. I've got to see this programme!

I prefer the bangs. I think she looks younger with them but please, enough with the poker straight hair. She's been doing this since '97. I loved the curls on several of the Say You will promos (and during rehearsals on Destiny Rules). She needs to change it up.

I really like the curls, too. I wonder though if it's an issue of practicality. I have hair similar to Stevie's. It's very long and I can easily wear it curly or straight. I don't wear it curly very often though because it gets in my face and annoys the heck out of me. With straight hair, it's easier to keep it out of your face. Maybe that's part of it? I know we don't like to think of these boring things when thinking about Stevie, but maybe that has something do with the straight hair?

I'm partial to the bangs as well. I was recently looking at early SYW pictures and thinking that I'm quite pleased that she's gone back to the bangs. I think they suit her more - they're less...serious than no bangs. No bangs fits the SYW sweater. Bangs match the lovely solo outfits. :)

Enchanted_Stevi 02-26-2006 06:55 PM

I LOVE Stevie with bangs!!! I never use to like bangs and when I started to get inot Stevie I wanted bangs so I got them and ever since then I have had bangs.....I cant live w/o my bangs....lol....I think Stevie should keep her bangs....its her signature look:)

Mokona 02-26-2006 08:27 PM

Stevie's got to have the bangs. The SYW look was making her look old, and it was a totally shapeless style. The color was drab too.

Now her hair looks pretty good. It tends to look a little unhealthy on the ends, but as my stylist says, it's hard to have colored blonde long hair, because the longer it is, the older the hair is and more likely to be very dry and crispy on the ends.

Anyway, her look now is my favorite. But a selfish part of me wants her to cut it so I don't have to keep trying to grow my own hair out to mimic hers! I can't help myself - I just love that hair!

BTFLCHLD 02-27-2006 03:04 PM

check-out this flippy bang!

DestinyRules 02-27-2006 03:08 PM

I might be in the minority, but I prefer Stevie's bangs to a point.

I like it when she has the bangs the way she did during her performance of "Fall From Grace" at the Blockbuster Awards in 2001. Somehow, they struck me as being a little "wilder."

And I definitely oppose short hair or a bob. Stevie Nicks needs to have long, blonde hair and that's all there is to it. :p

JazmenFlowers 02-27-2006 03:10 PM

I don't mind bangs a la the Vegas shows, but lord have mercy those bangs during the Enchanted tour were way too short. I didn't mind the Say You Will bangs or the "butt cut" she had, but the color was a little drab. I'm loving her hair these days.

Boots 02-27-2006 03:18 PM

BTFLCHILD!! Just saw the Charlie Rose Interview with Lindsey on youtube!! Thank you!!!

Does anyone know if the full version exists somewhere?

GypsySorcerer 02-27-2006 03:33 PM

Bangs or no bangs, I think she could use a few inches off the length, some waves, and some thinning out. I loved the TISL era for her hair; the color especially.

me too. I agree she could benefit from a good cut, but nothing more.

DZgirlie 03-29-2006 09:37 AM

Her Enchanted bangs were ghastly. Looks like she let some little kid cut them. I loved when she came out with the no bangs for SYW. Not parted down the middle though. She needs to have a side part with them. (Almost LIB style) Big fan of the street ange crimps, so I love when she let her crazy curls come out for dr. Her long hair is one of her trademarks. A trim would be nice. Not much more.

I hated that look. She looked like Beulah the witch. Or that she couldn't afford a good cut. Horrible.

Got to have the bangs. I like her hair curly/wavy myself... :wavey:

SortaSavageLike 04-03-2006 04:37 PM

Stevie's bangs? Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Jimmy Iovine, Joe Walsh, Don Henley...

Had to post this bang shot from DR. I think they look much better when they are whispy as opposed to straight across. Could she possibly looks anymore beautiful here? *swoon*

I'd love to be able to see that picture behind her more clearly. I see Waddy and I think Stevie...
