When Harry Met Stevie
 

well for all of you who would like to know, i met stevie at our hotel last night,she was having dinner with waddy and patrick from andrew mc mannus and patricks wife, i asked patrick if it wasnt too rude of me could i say hello after they finished dinner, he said yes and i waited outside for about an hour , he come outside and we had a chat before we went back inside, stevie was so lovely we chatted for about 5 mins about shows and the book , and told waddy how happy he made lucy at the gold coast concert,she is so lovely, sotiny ,she shook my hand , both her tiny hands didnt even cover my hand,when i left she gave me a kiss on the cheek ,and to top it all off, our hotel rooms are so close together we have 425 and 426 ,they are 13 rooms away , on the same floor , same section, about 100 feet away from us ,thank you vicki for the fabulous hotel room :xoxo:

OMG Harry congratulations! You have had an opportunity most of us can only dream about. That is seriously my fantasy to be in the same place as her outside of a show and have a chance to have a real conversation. Just WOW! Can you elaborate a bit more on what you said to her and what she said to you? What was her demeanor like? Did she seem happy, tired, etc.?

Again, I will tell you that I am just so ecstatic for you Harry. Cool thread title by the way...lol

OMG, how effing cool. I am not sure I could sleep at night knowing that Stevie is that close to you on the same floor. I would be so tempted to try to bump into her again to get a photo taken with her. Also, what "book"? Did I miss something? Or is this relating to the new biography that is coming out?

The one question I would want to ask Stevie at dinner would be "What inspires you to write such wonderful lyrics and music?"

I would also want to ask how I can contribute to her Ipods to soldiers program and if she thought of doing a USO concert for the troops.

I know. That's why the only thing I brought to the hotel when I met Lindsey is a camera. I wanted proof, cause I thought no would believe me!!:lol: But the meeting part is the best, I agree.

that's why im SO glad mobiles now have cameras

I met Lindsey too! In Vegas at the MGM Grand hotel. He was staying on the same floor as me. The only reason I knew that is because I saw him standing outside his open hotel door at the end of the hall watching his 2 rambunctious kids run around. :laugh: Lindsey hair was a little messed up (it was in the am) and he was wearing his white t-shirt, sweat pants, and socks. When my girlfriend and I walked by him I thought - wow that looks like Lindsey. I looked over at my girlfriend and she said, "it's Lindsey". So I went back and said, "Lindsey?" He smiled and said, "yes." I said, "Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your music and am very much looking forward to the show tonight!" He said, "Thank you very much. I hope you really enjoy the show!" and shook my hand. He was so nice. When I turned to leave his little girl looked up at me and said, "daddy who's that lady?" :laugh: I didn't get to hear Lindsey's response to that. Anyway, that's my Lindsey story. :)

He's such a great guy. I couldnt believe I actually was able to talk with him for like 10minutes. WOW.:lol:

David - was Lindsey nice about you asking for a photo? He'd better be. I'm going to marry him someday...ok...maybe in a fevered dream....

You know, he was the utmost gentleman in our conversation. I was really blown away by his sincerity in talking to me. I mean he couldve easily told me to get the F**K outta there but he didn't. WHen I asked about the picture, he was like "No problem, lets do it!" The when he was leaving and after I thanked him for his time, he told me thatreally enjoyed talking to me. Talk about frosting on the cake!!:lol:

How INCREDIBLY wonderful! I'm always amazed, that despite all the years, all the people in their faces, the weirdos and obsessives that come into their lives, that there are still famous folks who are still sincerely touched by fans, are happy to spend a few moments talking with them, and really enjoy the time. Despite really loving his work (and yes, looks), I went through so many years thinking that Lindsey was a prick - but he's really grown emotionally and spiritually in recent years.

By the way - how was Mick on that fateful day the photo in your sig line was shot? He seems like an affable man himself. (Also - where did you meet them?) Sorry - I'm so nosy.

You know, it's all about how you act in their presence. I could tell that he was a bit cautious at first, but after he could tell I was a calm not freaked out guy that just wanted to talk, he eased up alot.:)

No problem., Well, Mick was at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Cleveland on 5-13-03, as they were on theri way to soundcheck. My friend and I were at the roped off line about 15 feet from the entrance. It was funny, Mick was the only one to come over and sign and talk to the people. Lindsey did talk to us but he seemed to be in a bit of a hurry. But anyway, my friend Debbie from Cleveland was standing with me and she's a drummer, so Mick's her hero. SHe damn near wet her pants when he walked over to us. I waited until just when he was done signing for everyone, and since I knew my friend wouldnt have the balls to ask Mick herself, I said "Excuse me Mr Fleetwood, could my friend here get a picture with you?" Mick was like "Of course". The look on my friends face when he motioned for he to come over to him was absolutely priceless. I took the picture of them, then she turned around and took the one that's in my sig. Mick is definitely a super guy as well. Lindsey I met at the hotel in MInneapolis on the morning of their second show on 6-20-03 here.
