A question for Australian fans
Ok, I've read where Stevie fell off the stage in Australia in '86 on tour for RAL. SO was anyone there and did you see it. Where did it happen?
|
Sadly two years before I graced the worl with my presence, I think it may have been Australia but I am pretty sure she fell of a stage more than once didn't she?
Oh and if anywhere I am guessing it was probably Melbourne where the incident occured, I know someone mentioned it on the Ledge a few days ago. |

IT WAS 20 YEARS AGO NOW I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE GOLD DUST TOUR DOWN UNDER ROCK ON STEVIE |
She fell off more than one stage on that tour. Clayre saw her take more than one dive.

See, I think looking back on it now it can seem funny. Conversely, thinking about it in the context of the exact time it happened, the situation was not funny - it probably wasn't funny if you were there. So it's just a matter of perspective. Anyway, let me know if you find that. :p |
Maybe she will twirl off the stage again down under again for old times sake  !!!!!!!
Ive said it before, in Birmigham AL USA 89 during the Edge of 17 cackle she bent down. All the way down, her big klonapined out ass could not get back up. The 2 gutiar players had to stop and help her up! |

The radio station was having a phone-in about 'Worst Concerts You've Ever Seen' and this lady called up immediately to say that Fleetwood Mac in Dublin 1988 was absolutely the worst because of Stevie. The way she worded it was something like :''This woman that I had adored for years and there she was ,completely out of it on stage in front of me''. She went on to say that the worst of all was at the end of the concert when Stevie bent to bow to the audience she couldn't get up..and Mick Fleetwood had to actually walk across the stage and pick her up from her bow pose to bring her off stage! |

http://www.nicksfix.com/SingerPage/s.../ask_lori.html The question and answer you seek is probably this one: from Greg in San Francisco Since you and Sharon are so close to Stevie, how come you were unable to prevent her addition to pain killers and cocoaine? How could you NOT notice she was taking drugs?! I haven't heard any statements from you or Sharon taking any responsibility for taking care of someone thousands of people love and care about. Lori's answer: Hello Greg... This is an interesting question, and a very heavy one. It’s also rather personal, and not one that I feel is really any body’s business but mine, Sharon’s, and Stevie’s. However, I will say that when one decides to get into drugs, whether their friends try to stop them or not, if they don’t want to stop, there’s not much anyone can do.... even those who have had interventions. Often times if you push an addict too hard, they cut you out of their life, then making it impossible to help them at all. Ultimately, it is the addict’s choice to stop. I could tell you of many addicts who went to rehab, and overdosed after they came out. Stevie is an extremely strong and determined woman, and no one has ever been able to tell her what to do. She is a woman who makes her own choices, and she is the one who made the choice to stop doing drugs (and smoking, by the way)! |

I would imagine that she was a booze bag during Aussie shows of the RAL tour cos procuring drugs out of the country is always tricky, especially without the global resources of FM on your side. Also, she had gotten herself in a bit of trouble with Aussie authorities earlier that year so she may have "kept her nose clean".
I do hope all the people who want to find the bootlegs of her falling 4.5 feet off the stage find their copy and play it in their homes over and over and over and over and over and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh. |

Maybe in Ausie she will perform Fall From Grace with rewritten: "Fall From The Stage": Not all the king's horses, not all the king's men Could put my drunk ass back on the stage again........... |
I just hate to hear these stories about performers falling down or off the stage, drunk or otherwise under the influence. We've heard the past "episodes" of others besides Steve...Morrison, Joplin. It's an almost endless list over the years and it's not limited to just rockers either. It's bad enough to be a total wreck in private, but in the middle of a public concert (a concert that people paid a lot of money to see)...it's really sad. Kinda like they're thumbing their nose at the fans.
Stevie will never live down these incidents and I believe she feels sorry about it now looking back. |
