You Know You a Lindsey Fan when... (Please Add to the list)
Someone on the Stevie forum suggested we start a Lindsey one of these... so hear goes :]
You Know Your A Lindsey Fan When... * You are personally offended when people have no idea who LB is... even more so when they think he is a woman! * You hate it when jounalists mis-spell his name "Lindsay"... (how long does it take to do a google search to check??!) * You hate it when CD stores don't have any LB or FM cds  continue... |
You know that his birth date is Oct 3, 1949 and NOT 1947 as is reported in many publications. You argue with a coworker because his Billboard book says that it is 1947 and you know that it is certainly not!

I hit the wrong button
And sent my answers straight into oblivion.
OK-you laugh to yourself everytime you shut down your boss' old computer, which actually uses the term, "shut down," because you sing "no, I won't shut us down" to yourself like a minor lunatic. You smile and roll your eyes when you hear the word, "cycles." Ditto for the word "come," (although sometimes, this is accompanied by a mysterious hot flash, too). You can no longer listen to I'm So Afraid without picturing Lindsey's shoe over your head. |
Quote:
:) *You jump up and down at the grocery store when one of his songs come on and people look at you and wonder if you're ill in the noggin. *You want to run up to any man with dark curly hair and maul his head with your fingers (or is that just me? ) *When your teaching a little one to count on their fingers you automaticly think "Countin on my toes! Steppin on my fingers watchin how it goes! You can looove me baby but you can't walk out! Some one ought to tell ya what it's really all abou-o-a-out! You neva gonna make it bay-be! Who-o-a-o You neva gonna make me craz-a craz-a......." |
*You can't sit through a history class on Greek mythology without giggling
*You've purchased every National Lampoon's Vacation movie just to hear the clips of "Holiday Road" *You occassionally slip into stanzas of "Sardonic World" for no apparent reason *You plan on making a "Lindsey is for Lovers" t-shirt for your next Mac show *You wish, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, I'm So Afraid will be taken out of the next FM/Lindsey setlist and replaced with something that'll make you keel over, like Tango in the Night |
-You yelled "Yessss!" in the theatre while watching 'Elizabethtown' when Big Love came on and everyone looked at you.
-You ordered a copy of Out of The Cradle and it's an import that's gonna take three months to get here. I can't think of anything else but these are both true. |
You buy another copy of "out of the cradle" just because it is there
(how embarssing, I was so excited) |
Quote:
Another one I thought of that is again sadly true... -Your secret fantasy is that Lindsey is your dad and he asks you to join Fleetwood Mac in Christine's absence. I'm not a sicko I swear! |
you do the barks during holiday road
u play guitar, with your fingers and no pick when you talk about a lindsey song u finished by saying "he is my fav musican of all time" |
you practice Big Love for three years and can play it half decently now.
|
* when you actually read the Lindsey Buckingham forum and not just because you're looking for references to Stevie.
|
- You imagine yourself onstage with Stevie
- You imagine that when you come home, Stevie is waiting... |

When after a SYW concert, you make a long distance call to Rick Turner and say make me one of them.
|
When you get irritated by the tiniest bit of criticism directed towards his genius, no matter how accurate it may be.
|
You point out to anyone who will listen that Lindsey does not use a pick - "Can you believe it? He's amazing! He doesn't use a pick, he uses his FINGERS!"
|
...when people speak of Dylan Reed Young Lennon you always want to add B.
...when people adore Pumpkins, QOTSA, Sonic Youth etc. you can't step back but slip in the liveversion of come or play GOS. |

Any mention of the word "turner" makes you think of...
|
You jump any time anyone says "Lindsay Lohan" and then glare at them until they leave the room
If anyone asks your opinion on anything, you say "well... making an album is like painting..." or just say "Package Deal!!" and run off. You make a funny squealing sound whenever anyone mentions "Buckinghamshire" or, indeed, "Buckingham Palace" You yell "TUSK!!!" in the back of the classroom You've counted his chest hairs |
You can actually retain your composure enough to have a decent conversation with him when you meet him.
|

And how exactly did you accomplish that young lady? LOL! BTW, how many? LOL! |
...you've pretty much perfected the art of waiting
...you type in "Lindsey-Buckingham" in the news section at Google to see if there is anything new, knowing full well there isn't ...you think you've found a kindred spirit when you actually meet someone who is a fan of Lindsey and actually knows which one he is ...you try to make all your family and friends Lindsey fans (yay! I've succeeded many times) ...You're generally annoyed/pissed off that LB isn't given half the credit he deserves from the general public, and you say it ...you have an affinity for white shirts |
You STILL BELIEVE.
You giggle whenever you see tall grass. You wear a white button-down shirt and blue jeans (the "uniform") on October 3rd. You scream "LINDSEY!" at other people's performances. |
...you understand why Lindsey threatened to take back the masters in the DR doc and agree with his behaviour.
...you know that Come can only, TRULY be appreciated on headphones/earbuds. ...you have a Lindsey sweaty towel...and framed it. |

Wel... you know... when he's sleeping... *giggles* I couldn't sleep for his warm ways, so I.... occupied myself... And I'm so not telling! You'll just have to count 'em yourself! |
- You go insane
- You're looking for big love - You can go your own way - You think you're in trouble - You bleed to love her - You steal your heart away - You know you're not wrong And you do what you can. ;) |

It was kind of funny I was in Tramps on Crowchild Tr. and they were closing down, so they had 50% off everything. I went in and for curiosity I checked, and to my surprise, there it was, Out of the Cradle. I took it up to the counter and bought it and had a conversation about Lindsey, and when I walked out I realized that I had already bought it a few months before and I listen to it often lol. At $6.00 I couldn't resist. |

That must have taken ages! LOL! If I knew how many I would run a contest like how people do with a jar of Jelly Beans. Whoever guessed the right number would get.......a jar of Jelly Beans! Oh if only....... |

... Does that mean if you guess the right number of jelly beans you get Lindsey's chest? Since if you guess the right number of Lindsey's chest chairs you get a jar of jelly beans? |
