Was it bad luck or what??

This friend of mine was in Florida last week, so I asked him to buy me the Soundstate Lindsey's DVD. He said it was hard to find, he didn't find it in Best Buy, Sam Goody, etc.. But the worst was that nobody new who was LB. Even asking about Fleetwood Mac was a bit strange for sellers sometime :eek: :eek:

I guess it was just a coincidence because I think FM is still a popular group. (btw, sellers were not so young, my friend said)

He finally found the dvd, he himself checked in the store computer, at a DVDs store in Sawgrass Mills

I know...sigh...
 

It's frustrating when you try to tell someone about Lindsey and they go "Who's she?" which is what my mom said once. Now that she's been to 2 FM concerts with me, she KNOWS who Lindsey is! :D

Argh! _So_ annoying! Or, once, my uncle... I was talking about Fleetwood Mac, and saying I was into them, and what heights Stevie and Mick were... and he goes "And what about Lindsey Buckingham?" to me. I said "I'm not sure, what height _is_ he?" and he said "Oh, very good, you know he's a guy" Of _course_ I bloody well know he's a guy!! Dash it all, I think when I say I'm "into Fleetwood Mac", I've at least learned the genders of the members...

Some even think that Lindsey is a woman & Stevie a man...

I get that a _lot_. "So... you'r trying to tell me... _Stevie_... is a girl?" (Me: :nod: ) "And then... _Lindsey?_.... Lindsey's a guy...?" (Me: :o :nod: :p )

Yeah, and you know what else: I won't find LB's soundstage here. A few weeks ago I was (again) looking for destiny rules and the answer was: "impossible to order". So, if they can't even order a dvd, then how the hell will they now the difference between a woman or a man ???

when I was really young I was reading the liner notes to something like sounds of the 70s and I pretty much figured out that Lindsey was a man and I thought Stevie was too so I thought they were a gay couple and then add in "Chris" and it's just a hot mess...lol

Why don't you order or get it here then? :)

That's cool that your friend found that for you. I'm sure being from where you are, it's not easy to get your hands on that kind of stuff.

Lindsey Buckingham? Ain't he the girlfriend of that dude... Whathisname... Stevie Nicks? I think they're in Fleetwood Mac, or whatever, with that other guy Chris McVie. :rolleyes:

I know the numerous albums where they call Christine by the name of Chris in the liner notes threw me off too.

It's just all so confusting!!

soundstage and destiny rules dvd's
 

i also live in belgium (antwerp) and have ordered (and received) destiny rules thru proxis last year. the soundstage dvd i've found on ebay.nl so it might pop up again.it's a copy ofcourse but great quality so it's worth checking out. I do check with the sellers if the dvd is region free as my player will not play region 1 dvd's.Once i have the money i'll get me a region free player so i don't have to worry anymore about buying us dvd's.

EXACTLY! Also weird when you're a girl who says Lindsey is hot and Stevie's really cool. Conversation goes like this:

ME: "Wow, Lindsey's so hot..."
RANDOMER: "...So, you're a lesbian then?"
ME: :eek: No. But dear God, Stevie Nicks is SO COOL!"
RANDOMER: "Ooh, so who's this Stevie guy you're so keen on?"
ME: "Um, Stevie's a girl."
RANDOMER: "So .... you are a lesbian, then?"
ME: :eek: :mad:

But then again, when I first listened to the Mac I said "Wow, that Lindsey girl has a hell of a voice." So ... :shrug:

Me too!! I got Mirage first, on a tape, and I got _so_ confused as to who was Lindsey and who was Christine when they were singing. I definitely thought that Wish You Were Here was a guy singing. And all this only came about after I'd worked out that that girl with the American accent was not called Lindsey.

About a year ago, I picked up a box of old records at a yard sale. One of the records was 'Mirage'. I thought that Mick Fleetwood was the Greek god on the front, and I wondered why there were two burly security guards on the back cover! :shocked:
