Hopefully we'll add more in the next few days. I'm just sending 4 at a time, easier for me to keep track of that way.

Favorite album cover? Has to be "Bare Trees". What a great pic! What an accomplished photographer!

*giggle*

What a shame that CD's have taken over. I liked the old "LP's". It felt like you had some value for money. I also prefer the sound on the vinyl. Much warmer.

!!!!! He definitely rocks.

And if John wants a new turntable, there's some good choices for that too, some of them even at decent price. ;)

I love John. I wanna ask him a question too.
Is it too late to submit one?

Sugar 01-15-2006 01:47 PM

So cool. Thanks, John.

And thanks to Marty and Lis for conducting a Q&A that he obviously wants to participate in.

It's too bad that "want" didn't apply to all named McVie.:(

EDIT/EXPLANATION, just in case John reads this- Chris never answered any questions that were sent to her.

Keep in mind though that his questions are 'screened' and he's only sent a few at a time. Makes for a more pleasant overall Q&A experience. I suspect Chris's may not have been done this way. :(

Thanks for this. Very interesting about the vinyl records. I didn't know any company actually still mades them. I feel the same way about them, but you can't play them in your car; that is a problem. I was playing Billy Joel's album, The Nylon Curtain, this past Saturday morning, & it got stuck on Pressure! That's another reason vinyl is sometimes a pain; they scratch & jump so easy though sometimes CDs do this, too, though there is a way that you can fix them.

Lee :)

Yeah, I go to her website from time to time, waiting to see some questions answered because I remember sending her a few, but I haven't seen anything.

And I can imagine, too, that if someone said, "here's 100 questions, now answer them!", would create an overwhelming feeling.

GypsySongbird 01-15-2006 05:21 PM

john is so amazing! he really is just so cool!

& really really funny! -him & chris must have been the funnest people to be around!

But then again, if she needed an excuse not to do something (tour? :p ) she could say "Oh, sorry, I have a hundred questions to answer, you know how it is, maybe next time, really can't leave these any longer" etc. Maybe no one asks her to do stuff she doesn't want to anymore?

I'll bet there were several hundred questions, by the way. They actually allowed more questions to be sent after the cutoff date. I don't think they were expecting anywhere near that many questions, since they came up with that contest to try to get fans to send in questions. I think she & especially her nephew probably got overwhelmed with everything.

johndoe 01-19-2006 11:53 AM

Man. When John said " It was great for us to have a "front line". Made it more interesting for the audience and Stevie's good at it. However, on the next tour she better watch out as I've been practising my "Moonwalks" and "Bump and Grinds"." I absolutley lost it laughing. What a guy.

That explanation seemed sensible to me at first. But now that I think about it, I'm not satisfied.

Let's say you don't expect several hundred questions but you get them anyway. So you get a little overwhelmed. What's to stop you from going ahead & answering FIVE questions & having them posted?

Five is better than zero.

Answering questions on a fan board is nice, but it isn't that important. I think something happened more important, which distracted Christine and/or her site owner.

I have thought of that too. I've wondered if maybe there are health issues, possibly with her or her family(which I hate to think about). The thought has also crossed my mind that since she's not too keen on computers, maybe the questions somehow got lost in cyberspace. An explanation from the website administrator would certainly be nice.
