Oh, thank goodness! I've never heard it and have been dying to for a year, at least.
Yow! That is well suited to her voice. She's wailing it. :woohoo:
Thanks, Spark.
:xoxo:,

My pleasure.

It kicks ass, doesn't it ?

No comments from you, Diss.

Bite my ass.

She sings it fantastically, but it's such an incredibly vacuous take that she shouldn't have even bothered.

pbbbllllltttt!!!

I actually tried to sound that out.

Alas, you are too far away. And you know it wouldn't stop there.

 I should have known better than to bait you !

You say that every time I write that. You're like an emetic parody of yourself right now. "Dissecac".

:p

Cool. You're my kind of mutt. And I've had my shots.

It's like offering a dog a treat and then pulling your hand away when they go to take it from you, telling me not to say anything. Pffffft.

Thanks Sparky for that! I've only heard one version... so i wonder if this is it... about to download it after this entry.

What does Vacuous mean?

Empty. Lacking intelligence.

From the websters online :

1 : emptied of or lacking content
2 : marked by lack of ideas or intelligence : STUPID, INANE
3 : devoid of serious occupation : IDLE

Well if thats what it means... DISSENTION  how do you feel that way towards this performance

Maybe in person it wasnt a good performance, but through my ears it sounds damn fab! Has stevie influence all over it!!

Dissentions crap

In person it was fantastic. I think some other people on the the ledge were there too. Stevie kicked ass. She was waved the red satin train on that dress all over the place and shook the **** out of the mic stand. Brought the house down. First standing O that night.

I feel nothing when I listen to it. It's passable and has a great vocal, but it sounds more to me like histrionics and emotional vapidness than anything else, to the detriment of the actual song.

WOW!!! Sounds fabulous!! Now where is the video???? :blob2: :blob1: :blob2:

I really enjoy this song, and you know what it really sounds as though she did too! Has some stevie sounds that i haven't heard since 80's. Fab!

Hmmm sorry dissention... i still love it

You are correct, sir. Stevie kicked the hell out of that song and everybody in the arena. So much so that it almost made up for having to listen to Robin Williams' shtick that night. Almost.

this is one hell of a performance...period

I totally forgot about Williams. Blech. Blocked it out. Coulda been worse. Coulda been Jim Carrey.

I absolutely *love* this performance, I don't care what dissention says, hah.

The only thing I have never been able to find is at least a picture of that infamous red dress. Damnit.

The LA times had a b&w pic, and there is a pic on the back of the AT&T cd of the show. I don't think I have seen a color pic...

Since when does anyone?

I care so much that on some days it is a wonder I can function at all.

It astounds me that you say this. Seriously? Wow. I mean, you're entitled to your opinion & we've disagreed on other things before, but nothing? Really? Wow. OK.

I've seen the cover pic, but yes, it was in black and white and not even in all her glorious splendor (on stage!).
