Yeah! my favorite song on the new Madonna CD - Sorry - is going to be the next single (release date 1/26/06). Happy New Year. :-)

Whoo hoo! This was my first fave on the album, too, after Hung Up. The first one that really grabbed me.
I also love Forbidden Love... (hmm.. I haven't listened to Confessions in so long... it got put aside in favour of Jason Collett and Cyndi's Body Acoustic for the past little while. Must go back and listen again  ). |
Yup.
One of the only songs I like on the album. |
I absolutely love this whole CD. Sorry was my first favorite too. But now I really like Jump and How High. I really love Let it Be too. I can't quit listening to it, it's addicting to me!
|
Sorry will have to grow on me, not a personal fave. But I absolutely love "Forbidden Love" and "Jump."
|
I love Sorry. I also love Push. This is great. Thanks! :wavey:

"Sorry" is one of my faves from the Confessions album.

I love the album, and "Sorry" is my favorite song on there. I'm glad it's the second single... I think it has a lot of potential for a radio hit. I found a single edit recently, but I haven't been able to verify whether or not it's official. I'm actually hoping it's not, because it chops up the chorus too much for my tastes.
Has anyone had a chance to hear "Fighting Spirit"? It's the bonus track from the limited edition version of the album, and, in my opinion, it should have been an album track (replacing "I Love New York"). |
Yeah, I've heard Fighting Spirit - not bad, but I prefer the New York track:laugh:
There's also another bonus track called "Super Pop". |

I tend to prefer old-school remixes/extended versions best... the ones that basically sounded like a double-length version of the album track, with some extra keyboards and percussion added. |

Yeah, Super Pop shouldn't have been on the album for sure...It can stay a b-side or what ever it is. It has elements of Hung Up in it... And the dog barking doesn't do anything for it either... I'm happy with the 12 on the cd as it is...
|
I'm obsessed with Jump right now!
|
Amen! I was hoping Jump would be the next single, but Sorry is a great choice also.
|
"HOW HIGH" is my favorite...absolutely love this song...

I think Sorry was the best choice for the next single, but I think How High and Jump would be great singles too.
My favorite song, BY FAR, is Like It Or Not. |
Oh yes! Most people I know think 'Sorry' is the best song! Good choice!
|
Hung Up, Sorry, and supposedly Jump are singles...

I got this CD the day it came out, and really w/ December, got little time to listen to it. NOW, shoot me, cause it's all I can do NOT to listen to it, and the fact that Sorry is the next single, ugh, I am beside myself. I am a closet Madonna fan, usually reveling in the fact that hubby adores her, so anything I buy or any raves are cause "hubby listens to it." Not now, Holy Cow. In order of album, Hung up, Sorry, I Love New Yourk, How High and Isaac are my favs. This is an amazing album. Oddly about the only song I don't mind passing up (though I don't) is Future Lovers. It has a pitch that sorta annoys me. Like a literal pitch that kind of grates my eardrums. Go figure. Anyway, had to come out and rave. ;) :wavey:

I am sorry, I can't stand sampling, and sampling ABBA (I like ABBA BTW) just means she is running out of ideas. WRITE YOUR OWN STUFF PEOPLE!!!!! Sampling is just weak...weak. weak. weak..

Mariah does the best job of sampling... Fantasy, Honey and Heartbreaker are three great examples of this...and yet they still sound fresh and new. |

And I'm extremely happy that "Sorry" is the next single, because it's one of my favorite tracks on the album (right behind Push and Get Together). |

Each one is fresh, new and innovative. Stevie has released 6 albums since 81each fresh and innovative IMO, but that's because I am partial. Madonna is a far lesser writer (Again IMO) than Stevie, but at this point I'd kill for Stevie to sample something if that meant she had run out of ideas but wanted to release something. With 10+ albums to Madonna's credit, I hardly think she is out of idea's. I'm quite surprised she has come this far W/OUT sampling yet. Many artists on their 1st, 2 or even junior solo efforts sample and that would tell me they don't have longevity, but Madonna sampling after 20 years, kudo's to her. |
