Storms would be amazing. If it magically happened, somebody better get their hands on a bootleg. She should do it with a basic accoustic thing, like on the Tusk bonus disc. I love that version. It's how I'd do it if I ever covered the song. But yeah...

It would be a really precious gift if Stevie did Storms live, I wish Australian fans to have it as a surprise (and I hope they'll all bring their recorders  ). Besides, I think Waddy could make a quite amazing arrangement of the song for a simphony orchestra.

Romy

P.S Happy New Year all!!!!

Absolutely. Beautiful Child was extraordinary, Storms would be in that same sort of category ...

[Though I don't know how you can possibly get much better than Beautiful Child ..... ]

SandyMac 12-31-2005 01:05 PM

I am sending out a Storms vibe also. That would be awesome.

Well, nobody knew anything about Beautiful Child even being a possiblity until LB mentioned it in a pre-tour interview in 2003, so I really don't think "we" had anything to do with that. Sara is debatable, although I tend to think someone let them know that the fans were asking for it.

I agree with you about Storms. I think it would be fantastic & that she could still do it justice. I would prefer, however, that if SOTM and/or Storms were to be done, that they be done on the next Mac tour. JMO.

I feel a "STORM" brewing in our future!!!!

Janis_no1 01-03-2006 04:47 PM

Hmmm, im actually in for gold dust woman out and while we are there turf rhiannon too. Get some STORMS, some bella donna tracks.... just something!

t.c. 01-03-2006 05:39 PM

I am for Landslide out and Storms in, for sure!! Oh yes. That'd be so incredible.

And Rhiannon out, but only if Sisters of the Moon gets put in. I love Rhiannon but have lots of versions of it by now, and my favorites tend to be older versions from 70's and 80's, and the piano version on Enchanted box set.

And for Gold Dust Woman, I love the song on the Rumours album, and love the demos of them working on it. I like it live too, but more back in the 80's. Love it on the Bella Donna and Wild Heart tours. But lately, I could take it or leave it. If she re-did it live, sorta acoustic-y and softer and haunting. That'd be cool. Or get really cool "gettin' jiggy with it" (lol!) taking it a step further like how it was during Wild Heart - it seems so wild with the bass and bongos, etc. I love it. So, something like either of that I would really enjoy it once again. If it got pulled, what do you all think would be a good replacement? Maybe Kind Of Woman? I think that'd be neat live. I'd also LOVE to hear Ooh My Love live.

You know what I'd love? Just one more vocal chord shredding version of Rhiannon. Just once, that's all I ask! Maybe twice. I know she can do it. Shake the golden mane about, rip the ribbons and scarves off her mic stand, and just tear that **** up.

I'd love it. Just love it. Then she can go back to her piano version... or just get rid of it altogether.

Come on Stevie, take me like the wind, child! :blob2:

With Waddy Wachtel's electric guitar slashing through the arrangement like Michael Caine in "Dressed to Kill."

I don't think she has anymore vocal chords to shred....that is the whole reason we no longer get those performances anymore..her voice was NEVER meant to do half of what she put it through..it was fun for awhile but she paid the ultimate price for it too.....:distress:

Oh but she does. She conserves it now though out of fear of losing more, which is a legitimate fear IMO. ONE MORE shredding Rhiannon would not do her in though. We just gotta make sure the DVD recorder is there. Oh man. That would be something.

I'm with y'all on storms. I will bawl like a baby when and if she does this one. We never thought she'd even do BC, remember? Why not Storms?

I think she still has a larger range than she allows herself to show. She may not have the confidence in herself to hit those notes on stage in front of an audience. But have you heard her sing At Last? I was incredibly impressed. Granted it's been almost ten years since the Stormy Weather benefit, and her range and tone have changed since then, I think she still has it in her to deliver a powerful song.

I know she strained her voice a lot during the 70s and 80s-- not just by doing an intense performance of Rhiannon every night, but of other songs as well. Still, I think with a little coaxing, and if it was just for one song, she might be able to handle it.

now THAT would be worth the ticket price

I'm all for ditching Landslide & Gold Dust Woman, HAEWAFY
Stevie I KNOW you can hear us

Oh god, that is hilarious- and so true. I feel that way about Rhiannon and Gold Dust Woman. Just ONCE more, I would love to see a passionate rendition of either or both! Like others though, I am just not ready for either of those to go. I say replace Dreams or Landslide with Storms- that would be awesome.
