A Few of Your Favorite Things......

That you've received for Christmas! Mom and dad gave me the pots and pans I've wanted, but didn't want to buy myself! I'm so glad they got those for me. Sara got this great shirt. I took a picture to show you all. I think it's funny!
So, what are your favorite things?

I think it was in 1977, my pet. A beautiful cocker spaniel. Unfortunately he only lived 4 years, he died of a weird illness that attacked his backbone :(

but those years were wonderful. he went to us to camping in the beach. lot of memories!!!

I finally got a crescent moon necklace!!!! My step-son ordered it from here:
http://www.enchantedmirror.com/ and it is absolutely stunning. I'll take a picture tomorrow- I'm way too wiped out (just had 20+ people over for a Christmas Eve party) and I look like sh*t.

She also sent some cool photos of Stevie, which I put on my fridge. My mother thinks it's hilarious because Stevie is just randomly up there with pictures of friends and family. lol (Apparently there was a CD to go with it as well, but I'm not allowed to see that until tomorrow)

How cool is it that my eleven year old step-son got this for me, and couldnt wait until tomorrow to give it with me. I'm a lucky girl.

my new purse :)

now all I need is a wallet, but the damn things are almost as expensive as the purse!! we may be getting an imitation until the ol' b-day. which will probably be fine by me long-term anyway.

I guess my parents decided that it was time for me to come out of the stone age...

They bought me an MP3 player. I haven't had a chance to use it though because I don't have the right kind of batteries.

Lala 12-25-2005 12:24 PM

A record player! (talk about stone age)

I've had trouble finding one that works properly...hopefully this one will! I'm too sleepy to set it up b/c no one slept last night. I'd probably wake someone up too.

Well my favorite gift was probably my new cell phone. My mom put it in this little chinese decorative box (no idea where she got this). Inside the box she wrapped it with tons of paper...while I was unwrapping she called my number and the present started to ring in my hand! It was great!

I also liked:
Everybody Loves Raymond: Season 5
Family Guy: Season 4
The 40 Year Old Virgen

and.

MY AUNTS LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM TOWEL FROM A CONCERT IN 03. It was hard for her to let it go...but she gave it to me and im thrilled!

Sara bought me a glass rose... so sweet. She got it at her Santa Shop at her school. I just absolutely love it. That topped them all, for me. That's one I'll keep and cherish forever!

stargazer99 12-26-2005 01:24 PM

My husband ordered me an iPod Nano. I haven't actually gotten it yet... it's on backorder.

My son made me a reindeer ornament at daycare, with his picture on it. It was wrapped in "wrapping paper" that he made himself, with a drawing he made of a Christmas tree. When I picked him up from daycare that day, his teacher told me that he had a present for me, and that he wouldn't put it down, because he wanted to give it to me right away when I got there. He was so excited when he saw me, and was beaming while I opened it. He was so happy that I liked it. That is definitely my favorite gift this year!

Rickypt 12-26-2005 05:29 PM

This year, my favorite gift was Body Acoustic, Cyndi Lauper. goosebumps.

This thing is hilarious! "Santa" brought Sara one this year... I've had a blast with it. I can't quite put it down!

I like the stuff my kids got me from their Santas Secret shop the best. A glass light up rose from my eight year old and a MOM necklace from my five year old. My neck might turn green but I am wearing it! :blob1:

Hubby got me a nice Christmas house to add to my collection. I have collected a series for years and he got me a really nice piece this year. He also gave me a pretty pair of Victorias Secret Pjs and some nice Bath and Body Works stuff. He did good this year. I bought him a new phone and a new tool thing he wanted for his business that was freaking alot of money. Why are little tools so freaking expensive??

LEATHER&LACE64 12-26-2005 11:18 PM

I got some really cool glass picture coasters from a co worker--guess who's pictures she put in them?? yep, Stevie! There are four coasters and each has a different pic in it. She also got me Elton John's Dream Ticket DVD set. From a special friend, I received a black iPOD nano with the inscription on the back of: dreams unwind, loves a state of mind~~how cool was that??? I also received a really pretty two tone gold bracelet.

Me too! I also got The Killers & new Fiona Apple. Then the next day I went to Media Play (which is closing) and bought LB's Soundstage DVD for $11, Melissa Etheridge's GH for $10 & Mac's Mystery To Me for $9.

Got the big toaster oven I asked for, some nice big chili/soup bowls, some clothes, some cash, 2 wooden nesting dolls (I collect them) and Mark got me a remote control starter for the new vehicle. I never knew how much I would miss that thing until I sold my old car.

OOOH - almost forgot - I got the "I Love the 80's" board game!

My favorite is money, and that my very favorite ex boyfriend ever (scorpio) who I haven't talked to in about five years found me on myspace (we only went out one summer). :) If he's still in town when I get back we are going to visit, too. He's really great. I'm pretty sure he doesn't usually wear a dorky suit, but here he is: Oh, and he's the creative director of www.internationalistmag.com, which seems to be about global/environmental and other issues, which is really cool as well...hehehe. Oh, wait, it appears he was one of three people who started the magazine in 2003...which reached a national audience by 2004...that's even radder. :p Okay, I'll stop - but he was really great!!!

Amber, he's kind of hot... i like the dorky suit. Totally my type.

WelshWitchPMD 12-28-2005 01:05 AM

Sounds like people got a lot of nice things. I got mostly gift cards. I got 3 Dunkin Donuts gift cards, too. I got a lot of candy and a long silver chain. I did get a shirt that is actually the right size. It is not something that I would pick out but it is still OK. Oh and I got a few $, too.

Kind of hot?! No, he's actually exceptionally hot. He's half chinese, his eyes are light green and he has really dark curly lashes. And his teeth are perfect and white. And you can see his cheekbones. And his skin is a gorgeous golden color. Yep. Oh, hey, he lives in Seattle, like you! That statement had no point, I was just saying....:p

macfanken 12-28-2005 10:50 PM

hmmm... is he totally straight.... as far as you know? Just wondering.

I think so...sorry ken...maybe not, though! :p It's a shame, because he's incredibly pretty. It's kind of hard to believe he's not, but there it is.
