Stevie vs. Lindsey - Who is better?

I personally think that Stevie is better than Lindsey. Although, Lindsey is hotter sexually and his brillliant guitar playing just slightly edges over Stevie's unique piano method.

As far as who is better...

Christine McVie and Bob Welch!

Lindsey is better:
- at playing guitar
- at producing songs

Stevie is better:
- at singing
- at dancing
- at making sense in conversation (tho this is debatable)

Both are good at:
- Writing music
- Putting on a great show

That's my take.

Karlie 12-02-2005 11:51 PM

I don't think you can compare them. They're both amazing, but very different.

But I do agree that Lindsey is hotter sexually. ;)

David 12-03-2005 12:20 AM

I believe that Stevie is better than Lindsey because she got the soul in her da boogeley-woogeley mamba-jamba & she go fast like a jet plane & then fast like a starlight starbright first star we ever saw last night tonight tomorrow night crystal pistol night-night nicknack paddywack & fo shizzzzzzzzle.

DownOnRodeo 12-03-2005 12:34 AM

My stream of consciousness concurs with David's and so he struck down Goliath with the small stone never gathers any moss.

Johnny Stew 12-03-2005 01:01 AM

Me and Josh2003 feel that Grace Slick was the best Fleetwood Maccer ever.

Depends on what she's on.

Sahara 12-03-2005 11:27 AM

This REALLY isn't a fair question ...

I prefer to phrase it as: "If you were going to a Mac concert, whose mic would you stand in front of, Stevie's or Lindsey's?"

.... A question I still haven't been able to answer.

Lindsey Jr. 12-03-2005 02:53 PM

Since I don't like BS, here's my statement: "they should be together".

who is better

hi this is a fair question and my answer is stevie. reason #1...she has been touring this summer and her voice is in great shape. reason #2...she's got tour dates set up for next year in australia and new zealand. lindsey has never been a great solo artist but with the magic the 2 of them have together they should tour again as the mac...steviefan59

 Only joking...your opinion. But I don't agree.

And I'll decline my answer to this, because I'm very definitely sure I know who is better and I'd prefer not to start anything. It's all subjective anyway.

I think Stevie is better....I like Stevie's lyrics and her whole aura. (sorry lindsey fans) my mom's bf and I think Lindsey is kinds Selfish(after watching Destiny RUles) Lindsey is a GREAT guitarist, one of the best, but his lyrics can/ sometimes are kinda mean and negative. I don;t know I fell in love with Stevie and I am a HUGE Stevie fan.....I guess its all in ur own discision and who ur musical preferences are and who u were brought up to listen too.

strandinthewind 12-03-2005 05:39 PM

I think La Nicks is a far more engaging person and that shows in her music. I also think she has and is a huge talent, esp. in writing and conveying emotion, and live performing.

LB is musically brilliant, really far more than La Nicks in terms of complexity. However, he is not as engaging a person as La Nicks. Thus, her light can eclipse him and often does, which has nothing to do with LB's talent, which is huge.

Villavic 12-03-2005 05:50 PM

Hard to answer. Actually a hard question.. Stevie is definitely a bigger STAR. But as artists.. both have their own talents.

BombaySapphire3 12-03-2005 06:49 PM

Can we have a question with less ambiguity? How about who is better Lindsey and Stevie or Nick and Jessica?

Whatever ya'll

Britney Spears was like the bestest, like Fleetwood Mac member, like in the whole world, ya'll. I mean, seriously, Hit Me Baby One More Time, like, totally changed my life, ya'll.

I just think he's really far more brilliant musically, also in terms of simplicity.

But better?

maybe I'm better. at least I'm not sick. I mean ill. hehe.

catinthedark 12-03-2005 08:16 PM

Sorry, Tower. Apples to oranges.

As for this one....

I've been lucky enough to face that dilemma a couple of times. I've always picked Stevie's.

Serrart 12-03-2005 08:23 PM

They're both brilliant, even if among their separate musical worlds, according to my tastes, Stevie's is more nuanced, deep and intriguing than Lindsey's.

Seriously? I don't think I have to answer this.

Little Miss "I'm a Little Teapot" (see live performances of "Say You Will") does nothing for me.

Lindsey all the way. He's talented, sexy, and at times spastic (sometimes I think he suffers from adult ADHD)...

Everything Stevie is not. I like some of her songs, but overall she bores me.

I don't care who you chose, but I don't think anyone could say there wasn't a large part of her career in which little miss teapot was EXTREMELY spastic in her performances.

hmmm...good point Amber!

I mean all one has to do is go back to Tusk and maybe the Mirage tour to see a more "spastic" Stevie...maybe it was the drugs...or maybe it was the music. But one thing Stevie is, or at least used to be, is spastic.

I personally never cared much for how many twirls she used to do and does now (I still don't understand the fascination for them), or the statistics coming from the kicks watchers, how much she jumps up and down. Mobility isn't really a key factor to judge a performance, IMO. What I look at it's the intensity and there's alot of it in Stevie performances nowadays.

Intensity? More like intensely sedated.

The operative word is "was."

Now her performances are lackluster at best.
