Rate Lindsay Lohan's Eo17 Performance

Alright everybody, let's stop arguing about this thing and get down to business. How would you rate Lindsey Lohan's cover version of Edge of Seventeen? On a scale of 0 to 10?

StevieNicksEO17 11-24-2005 10:51 AM

I said better than being shot in the shoulder. It was tempting to choose the last one, because it made me laugh so much...

Josh2003 11-24-2005 10:54 AM

I think you need to be more specific. Are you talking about the AMA performance, or the studio version of her song?

Because I thought that the performace was terrible....but I actually like the studio version.

StevieNicksEO17 11-24-2005 10:55 AM

I did it off the AMA performance... Hmmm

SmileAtU 11-24-2005 11:12 AM

I was going by the studio version because I didn't hear the AMA performance but I would say I would take it over a kick in the face with a platform boot.
It isn't horrible but...
It very much lacks Stevie's energy, emotion and kick ass vocal.

annaconda69 11-24-2005 12:14 PM

Better than being stabbed in the femoral artery.... Even Klonopin-era Stevie had more balls than Hohan's "performance"....

SortaSavageLike 11-24-2005 01:45 PM

I wonder who really think it's better than the original? Oh, who let my sister register for The Ledge again?

Rickypt 11-24-2005 02:00 PM

>>Better than listening to the live version of "Not that Funny" in a 24-hour loop?<<

Didn't that get banned in McCain's anti-torture bill?

danax6 11-24-2005 04:46 PM

Alright, who in their right minds voted 'Better than the original'?!

I'm sure it's just some people playing around.

I hope.

xxxmx 11-24-2005 07:09 PM

i'd take a boot to the face before i watch that again. i'd listen to NTF on loop for life before i watch that again.

i'd sit through an eternity of mick's vesturbation solo before i watch that again.

ps i chose the slow radiation death, stitches would help with the other injuries...

blinker12 11-24-2005 07:53 PM

Vesturbation??? :blob1:
That is the funniest thing I've heard today!

equeen102289 11-24-2005 08:12 PM

Does anyone have a clip of this that they can post so I can watch it and see how bad she butchered it??

1934mission 11-24-2005 09:00 PM

Bad cover

Thanks to Lindsay for making Stevie shine. I have not heard the studio version though. If they do a dance mix, it might help Dreams reach #1. Really, it was hard to tell how Lindsay sounded with such loud backup singing. I did like it better than the Thomas/Stone, Stop Draggin My Heart Around.

DavidMn 11-26-2005 12:18 PM

What a stinkbomb that performance was....

TellMeSweetLies 12-03-2005 05:29 PM

Stevie owns you Lindsay

A little over exaggerated, but man was the AMA performance was a let down.

ps- I know my paint skills are just AMAZING! hah

strandinthewind 12-03-2005 05:48 PM

Well, for starters, it is really hard not to sound good when you have so many back up singers singing in unison with you at all times. Also, she essentially sang very softly and let said singers do the work for her. Finally, the outfit was worse than the performance if that is possible

David 12-03-2005 07:08 PM

I voted "Better Than Original" because I feel the remake has an intensity & a drive that the original lacks. It also has prettier & more heartfelt vocals than Stevie/Sharon/Lori original vocals, which were vague & unengaging.

Dude, I looked at the picture first and I was like "Did someone steal that from Krystle!?"

Then I looked at who posted it. Hahaha... :o

OH i haven't heard anything but that 30 second tidbit put up last week.... :distress:

Mokona 12-08-2005 08:58 PM

I just saw that picture of Lohan in US Weekly. She said, "I've always loved Stevie Nicks" or something to that effect. Anyway, gee, did she rip off Stevie's look much?

Here's the regular version (although I find the other totally hilarious!):

And get a better decoration for that microphone! If you're going to do it, do it right!

*rolling on floor laughing my ass off....*

I only heard the thirty second clip from a week or two back, but based on that I'd bet that any sort of performance on a scale of one to ten would be about minus 23 ....

That's sickening, by the way. I'm just going to try to erase it from my memory ... *hugs tambourine for comfort, rocking back and forward in a corner*
