I am looking for a good Rush CD. I like YYZ, Red Barchetta and Tom Sawyer, etc. Do you have anything to recommend?

As for what I want for Xmas? Just some gift cards. I would actually be very happy with an Amazon.com gift certificate.

mylittledemon 11-19-2005 05:26 PM

I'm easy to please. I just like to be surprised by something, or just get a check in the mail. Either one. I also would like to spend a nice evening by the fire with Ms. BTFLCHLD.

Good luck with that! :o

wondergirl9847 11-19-2005 10:32 PM

Okee...

I want a....motorbike. LOL No, sesly, I do. I'm 100% sure I won't get one, but I'd love to have one. I'm still such a tomboy.

I mostly want DVD's and CD's for Christmas...that's what I ask for mostly every year. :)

Of course, I would love to have my cousin, Michelle to be here with us, and my dog, Candy. I also want my uncle to be cancer free and well again....and to have a better 2006 than I had 2005. :(

Miss Vicky 11-19-2005 10:40 PM

I don't really want anything.

I am absolutely impossible to shop for because everything that I really want, I buy for myself. I suppose I could've not bought Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, or Conversations with Tom Petty, or the Walk the Line Soundtrack, or Lindsey's Soundstage DVD or even that Joaquin Phoenix PETA DVD, since those would have been good inexpensive items that I could've let other people get for me...

But that means waiting until December 25th to own them. That means I couldn't enjoy them between now and that time and I just don't have that kind of patience.

UnwindedDreams 11-19-2005 10:48 PM

Please...take My Advice...

Buy the lindsey soundstage now! it is totally worth not waiting! I wanted to wait, but I said wtf, I'll just get it... and I was blown away!

I would be offended if someone gave me a gift certificate. It's indicative of someone not putting any thought or effort into giving you a gift that is meant to signify their love for you. Not that material objects can convey that, but gift certificates are precisely what's wrong with the holiday season and they show just how commercialized and meaningless the spirit of giving has become.

*gets off soapbox*

I like gift certificates. I've always maintained that the only way to be sure that you get what you want is to buy it for yourself - but it's better if you can buy it for yourself with someone else's money. :)

Besides, if people get me gift certificates, I don't have to worry about returning items that I don't want or that I already bought for myself.

I've been known to give gift certificates, but I generally only give them in addition to an actual tangible gift. I never give just a gift certificate, unless it's for someone like my brother, who lives out of state and for whom I haven't the slightest idea what to buy.

Stephanie 11-19-2005 11:12 PM

My husband and I want to get pregnant. That's all we want for christmas!:)
