Okay, according to Babel Fish translations http://www.babelfish.altavista.com that means "simply nothing". Is there some reason why I don't get it? :shrug: Well, besides the fact I am not Dutch! ;) Is Babel Fish lying to me?

Nope, Niks indeed means 'nothing'. So you got these jokes like "Stevie Nicks, it's still 'niks' " and so on. Dutch expression " 't is niks" means it's uninteresting, worthless, dull, doesn't live up to expectations etc.
