Tour and New Material
Hello everyone-Just heard on the radio, Atlanta's 96 Rock, that as some of us know FM will tour but also coming out with new material. When that was hinted at with the new keyboardist in place. So hopefully everything will work out. :)

However I hope what they say is true...if they tour one last time without putting out some new material, it would be a shame. |
Radio stations are often wrong....BUT last spring one of my local radio stations mentioned Stevie touring well before it was known. And, as we all know, it happened. So you never know........

well...if they had enough material for a double cd, but SYW wasn't...then maybe they will be releasing another one with (technically) new material...sort of a SYW Again...

Now don't be too optimistic guys, don't want you to hurt yourself. I was just passing along something I heard. Just take it for what it is.
Brit Things like this are why people are frustrated with this place. |

I would bet on a new tour, but I'm not sure about the validity of the new material/new album possibility. Thanks for posting that info,TwistedGypsy.

Well unfortunately being a former Atlanta resident myself, I know that 96 rock usually doesnt know much of what theyre talking about. They also claimed that the Don/Stevie show was going to be a 5 hr concert, with Stevie first and Don last...and then Stevie coming back to join Don later (they claimed they heard it would be this way because Don was more "popular") Ha I guess she showed them! However I must say I was glad that the Regular Guys came back!

Hmmm...a double CD comprised of two discs with 11 songs each comprising 22 tracks or a single CD of 18 tracks...that only leaves 4 tracks...they could put those on a CD single. Oh, boy, a Fleetwood Mac album that only costs $2.99. |
I'd love to hear new material, but I don't think the band is prepared to release new stuff any time soon--if ever again. I imagine a tour, however, is a real possiblity, as all the remaining members of the band like to go out on the road and make money, especially Stevie and Mick.
When will the remaining four realize a studio album with Christine could be MOMENTOUS, a true return to the Rumors line up--and that a tour with her is, though preferred, not necessary? They're all approaching or are past 60: time's running out. One more Mac Blackbuster for the new millennium? |

(I can't believe I just posted that.) |
I guess that we will have to wait and see what happens. I guess at least the new keyboard player part seems to be the same told story.

Not to mention Bekka writes some wonderful songs. She is basically on every song on Faith Hill's "Cry"...and wrote two of the songs! AWESOME. |

Why do people assume there's going to be a tour or that it's going to be in a certain locale AN ENTIRE YEAR before any of the MANAGERS & LAWYERS know anything about it as a sure thing? The band members are ALWAYS going off half-cocked -- couching hopes & desires & "expectations" in strongly indicative language that has fans scurrying about in anticipation years before something actually happens (if it happens at all). |
