Excellent! Thanks for the heads up!

sodascouts 11-11-2005 10:39 AM

Hey guys, guess what I did as stress relief earlier this year? Made a site for Glenn Frey! Check it out if you like: http://www.glennfreyonline.com . I wouldn't have done it except the poor guy had NO sites dedicated just to him! Have fun with the Europe dates, guys! Wish I could go.

Color me shocked.

sodascouts 11-11-2005 11:04 AM

Thanks Pip and Suze! And he sure is handsome. He's aged incredibly well. Still has that thick hair and keeps himself fit. Nice.

Happy for the Eagles fans, but that I Love Access thing exemplifies everything that is wrong about the industry.

Yeah, and the Mac did the same thing. :(

Gypsy-Rhiannon 03-11-2006 03:29 PM

Well.. I jusy checked the box office for tickets on 13th June in Birmingham and I@ve scored 3rd row.. aisle seats!

DavidMn 03-11-2006 03:35 PM

Y A W N. I saw the Eagles about 3 years ago, and Glenn Frey cant sing much anymore. Too bad.:distress: I cant Tell You Why was the highlight of the show for me.

Gypsy-Rhiannon 03-11-2006 04:20 PM

I saw them in 2001 and had a great time!!

I'm sorry if it seemed like I was slamming them to you, but I just never got into them too much, save for the Greatest Hits cd's. Isnt it amazing though that Timothy Schmidt wrote pretty much 1 song for the Eagles, I Can't Tell You Why, and it's one of their best?

Good for you Pip! I saw the Eagles here in Providence one year ago next week. I had a good time but they never did do a great ticket release here. I waited at the venue all afternoon, too.:(
I guess it's safe to say that there won't be another 2 voices tour this year.

DavidMn 03-11-2006 04:28 PM

I must admit I was dissapointed they didnt do Best Of My Love, but my friend who's a rabid Eagles fan told me they havent done it for quite awhile, save for a few special occasions.

I sat in the cheap seats behind the stage. I was low on funds at the time because I just bought some Stevie in Vegas tickets. I would have coughed up the dough if I got a seat in the first 5 rows but that never happened.
Anyway, they had huge screens set up so that you could still 'see' the show but I felt like I was watching a video screen at a bar or a club. A few 'adults' almost got into a fist fight over smoking. I liked the show but I was sort of aggravated with the everything else. I left early so I have no idea what I missed. On top of that I could not find a place that served food near the venue at 11:00 PM on a Saturday night.

I saw the Eagles a few months ago in 2005 and all of them were great. I guess you caught them on an off-night.

Congrats Pip! Have a blast!

HenleyFan 03-11-2006 05:42 PM

That's awesome! We're trying to figure out what to do about tickets. We didn't know that the box office had a separate pool of seats. What section was available? We may have to go the I Love All Access route.

The Eagles concert I saw in 2004 in Sydney was great, and I have the live in Melbourne DVD which was exactly the same.

Although I am not a huge fan, that show really turned me on to the Eagles a lot and they are deffinitely worth seeing even at the $150 I paid for the tickets. After missing the SYW tour in 2004 I now refuse to miss any big act that comes out to Australia because you never know what might happen in the future.

EDIT: Oh and HenleyFan awesome to see you post again, haven't seen you around for a while! :wavey:

Whe I checked last night all 3 front sections for the NIA Birmingham were available. But you have to go by section. If you go by best available it brings up centre section row Q. When checked section a I found much closer seats and because they are on the aisle next to the centre section I know they are great seats. There were rows 3 and 4 in sections a and c on both nights at that venue. I had trouble ordering online though and ended up calling the box office. Are you coming over to the UK for some shows?

Ahhh....I see. Thanks! That's very tricky of them! Yes, we're going to London and had hoped they'd add a show there, but since it's looking like they're not we're probably going to go to both Birmingham shows as well. We only just decided this so getting good tickets has become a challenge. Maybe we'll see you there. :)

Hey... I just checked and there are seats in Block A, row C seats 3, 4, 5, and 6 available on the 13th.. right next to us. You should go grab them! Last night a friend got row D in that section for the 14th. Would be cool to meet up with you if you make it on the 13th!

I had that happen to me during the Enchanted tour in CLeveland. During the show these drunk obnoxious young girls who probably couldnt tell the difference between Stevie Nicks and Stevie Wonder were standing up during songs and really pissing people off around them. People would tell them to shut up and they'd turn around and yell "F**K OFF" or somethine else rude like that. Finally I had enough and I stood up and yelled at them "I came 700 miles to see this show, and I sure as hell didnt come to see u 2 assholes ruin my night. Now if you both dont sit down and shut the F**K up right now, you'll deal with me. Got it?!" They looked at me like I was satan and sat down and didnt utter a peep the rest of the night! Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I'm 6 foot 4 and 275 pounds?
