Jessica Nicks and Brian Larsen??
It says they were romantically involved??!! She is only 14 and he is 19. Oh my!! She is her father's daughter huh??? LOL.

Forget Jessi Nicks....This right here shocked me:
-Larsen wrote more than 30 songs with longtime Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, which were intended to be used for a duo-collaborative album titled "The Gift of Screws." Although legal battles ensued and the pair's friendship dissolved, Larsen emerged with copyright ownership over the majority of the pieces. 30 songs?!?!?!?!??!?!?! |
Oh my!
Quote:
Perhaps he reminds Jessie of her aunt!!!! |
WTF? This can't be true, can it? Wouldn't he have been, like 15 years old?

"Larsen has a bachelors' degree in Pharmacy practices", I bet he does
|
So, Lindsey and him now hate each other and Stevie's niece is dating him?
Oy. |
Quote:
That's what got my attention too! BTW, who the hell is he? Never heard of him... i can't imagine Lindsey writing 30 songs with anyone... especially a 19 year old? |
That is just bizarre. He released his first album at age 11?
He's only 19, yet he's been linked romantically to Lisa Loeb AND Jessica Nicks (which would constitute statuatory rape if they slept together)? 30 songs with Lindsey, and we've never heard of him? And the connections to the whole Stevie world are creepy - cocaine addiction and buring out part of his nose, the klonopin use, 2 stints at Betty Ford, a link to Lindsey, and all the way down at the bottom of the bio... he's "endorsed" by the Indian incense, nag champra. And if you link to his homepage... eeeeeks... this kid is creepy looking... |
He also released a song called "Steal Your Heart Away". Very strange...

Not if they "dated" when he was underage. I call it puppy love at that age. |

Sorry guys... but I smell a rat
Go read the biog on the official site |
I wonder who paid that legal bill. In theory LB's label at the time, Warner I think, could have, but they may have insisted on owning the rights as compensation.
This also raises the question of the credibility of LB's story that he shopped GOS to the label and they were no very interested due to a change in management, etc. Ordinarily, no label is going to want to touch or put money into property in litigation, much less on a star with little comparative selling power. This is a rather fascinating twist on things that lead to the shelving of GOS and the creation of SYW. This is also rather fascinating considering LB must have won the suit because I believe he considered all those songs for SYW and he said in DR that he owned the masters. Finally, that suit could have cost him millions to win esp. if that win resulted in LB buying out Larsen. I wonder if legal documents were actually filed. I googled and came up with nothing. Does anyone know anything more about this? On a total random thing, the google search revealed this here in the Vito Q&A section: Hi! I have two questions.... First of all, do you have a current relationship with Stevie, Mick, John, or Christine? Secondly, where can I find out more information about what you are doing today? Have you seen my webpage, Big Love? (Brian Larsen, Laurel, Maryland) I occasionally speak with Stevie. As you might know, I went out on her Street Angel tour a few years back and would love to work with her again. She is very special. I ran into Mick on the street with Peter Green's manager this past year. We don't keep in close touch but it's always great to see him. I have not have much contact with John or Christine in recent years but I certainly wish them both well. I see Billy Burnette most often because we live close to each other and I plan to see his new band play soon.. You can go to http://www.rickvito.com/ if you would like more information as to what I'm doing. Currently I've been working on my own music and touring with Bonnie Raitt. I just completed work also on Bob Seger's new CD also. I'll check out Big Love soon. http://fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/qa/rickvito_qa.htm |

http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/interne...eut/index.html Wikipedia may go to print NEW YORK, New York (Reuters) -- Entries from Wikipedia, the popular free online encyclopedia written and edited by Internet users, may soon be available in print for readers in the developing world, founder Jimmy Wales said on Monday. He said content from the Web site may also be burned onto CDs and DVDs so computer users in places like Africa, who lack access to high-speed Internet, could consult parts of the reference work offline. Wales also described as incorrect reports, one of them from Reuters, that certain pages of the Wikipedia could be subject to tightened controls or "frozen" for good to prevent vandals and pranksters from tampering with them. "We are talking to several agents and publishers about what they would be interested in," Wales said of the book project. He cited health, football and histories of World War Two or rock 'n' roll as examples of how entries could be grouped into subjects. "I have always liked the idea of going to print because a big part of what we are about is to disseminate knowledge throughout the world and not just to people who have broadband," Wales said by telephone from St. Petersburg, Florida. Issues like funding, distribution and topics were still being discussed but a first printed work could be ready from mid-2006, he added. Wales, a 39-year-old former options trader, set up Wikipedia in 2001. The site operates through the Wikimedia Foundation, a nonprofit organization that relies on donations to pursue its goal of spreading knowledge for free. The reference work uses "Wiki" software, which gives anyone with access to the Internet the opportunity to edit any page. Some 350,000 people have contributed terms, background, context or simply corrected spellings for more than 2 million Wikipedia entries in more than 25 active languages. About 800,000 entries are in English. Wales, an American, said a core group of around 2,000 contributors did the bulk of the work and formed the backbone of the Wikipedia "community." In August, Germany's Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper quoted Wales as saying that "controls" could be tightened to protect potentially sensitive pages of Wikipedia. Reuters picked up the report and, in translating sections of it, said some pages could be "frozen" in perpetuity. "The idea that we are going to tighten our editorial 'rules' is completely not correct (and) the articles would not be frozen in perpetuity," Wales said. He said he had been misinterpreted and mistranslated. Wales said new software would be deployed from the end of the year that would allow changes to very active pages which might be prone to vandalism to appear on the site with a time delay, so members of the community could review them. Enthusiasts had also been discussing whether to create "stable" versions of certain pages that would stand as the most recent reliable entry on a given topic. These would be available behind the latest contributed version and would also be updated as necessary, Wales said. Find this article at: http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/interne...eut/index.html |

Thanks for clearing this up! I was a little concerned that Jess was already "romantically involved" at 14.
So is he a real musician? I have never heard of him. Is he a troll? |

I already posted this in the thread on Lindsey's board, but thought I'd post it here as well.
I'm wondering if the same person who wrote Brian Larsen's Wikipedia entry contributed to Lindsey's as well? Lindsey's also lists a connection: Quote:

I just can't imagine Lindsey Buckingham collaborating with an 11-year old on 30 songs.
|
Heeeeyyyy... i remember this nutcase... he claimed to write songs with lindsey... and his "band" was called "twilights moon" or something... but it was only him... no one else... and the songs (the mp3s he posted) were just some of lindsey's songs, played badly, with new "brian larsen" lyrics sung over them... and he was bad... he played piano more primitively than some of stevie's worst demos... and he couldn't carry a tune- his voice was all over the place- and never where it needed to be. i remember one particular mp3 where he played "the ledge" on the piano (just the melody with like, 1 finger) dude had no rhythm, no musical ability whatsoever... and he actually recorded a bunch of songs like this and advertised here to sell them.... if you ask around on the lindsey board i know some of them actually bought the freaking cd (since, you know, it was cowritten with lindsey)
lol, i remember once, on his website he had a "q & a with stevie"...and it was so badly and totally forged... it's like, the guy didn't know anything about stevie but he was making this **** up. gosh this had to be like, 5 years ago maybe? anyone else remember? maybe even longer.... then some ledgies realized he was full of **** and he sort of got run off i think. anyone else remember? |
