If she did Rock A Little, I would most likely have a heart attack. I think Battle Of The Dragon would be great. I hadn't thought of EFO but that would be fantastic too.

Of course I don't even want to think about any of those songs because if I did and the symphony songs ended up being Dreams, Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman & Stand Back, I'd go nuts.

I would have a heart attack, too, if she did Rock A Little. Rather, no, I would just cry. I love that song. It would be beautiful with an orchestra. And she could do it vocally - it would be perfect...

Everybody Finds Out would be great. But it would NEVER happen.

With an orchestra? Then she must do If Anyone Falls. For the longest time I have thought that strings could replace the synths on that song and it would work like a charm.

We have to keep in mind this is being recorded for a DVD....Stevie will stay wayyyyyy inside her comfort zone, IMO.

But we also have to keep in mind that this is a "What do you wish she would play?" thread, not a "Let's take bets on what she'll actually play" thread.

I was just about to point that out. She already mentioned At Last and Sunday Kind of Love, so I am betting those two will be done with an orchestra back-up. That's probably as 'out-there' as Stevie will go.

Not sure how Landslide would come off with an orchestra, it's usually not accompanied by anything more than a guitar...would be a waste to add an entire orchestra IMO, but it is well within her safe zone.

I am really excited about there being an orchestra, I just wish she would do an entire show like that, not just six songs. Ah well, we shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, as she is at least doing something new. :)

I have The String Quartet Tribute to Fleetwood Mac. Landslide sounds beautiful with strings...plus...she's already done it live with strings before.

Other Stevie songs on the CD are Dreams, I Don't Want To Know, GDW, Rhiannon, and Gypsy....all gorgeous with the string arrangements.

i still tear up sometimes when i hear the Landslide/orchestra from Stormy Weather. was that 2002? yeah, it's beautiful. and i never would have imagined it could be that beautiful until i heard it.

While I would love for her to do Gypsy with the Orchestra, I doubt she will do it without LB. The same for EFO..which would be killer. Also, Stevie mentioning SKoL and At Last is exciting but she mentioned opening with Talk to Me for her Vegas gigs. What she dreams of and what actually will happen are two entirely different things. The label or whoever is backing this dvd will want her standards. Stevie will also let her insecurites creep in and fall back into what she is comfortable with.

I wonder how Circle Dance would sound? Damn, I wish she would record a cover of that for this GH cd.

At Last is a slim possiblity in my mind but I do like Stevie's version of that alot=-and hope it makes an appearance.

Stevie is a big girl now. If she's letting her label tell her what songs to play, she should be ashamed of herself.

If done right I think Fall From Grace would kick major ass with an orchestra.
So would Rhiannon and Sorcerer. I wonder how OTR would sound with an orchestra. I agree that EFO would kick ass too. Can you just imagine the ending of the song with a full orchestra with strings being loud and decisive as she belts out "Everybody Finds Out !!!"
