Show me the money

ANyone here ever been conned out of money or anything else? I met this guy last year who was very good looking, we had fun, and before I knew it, I was out $1,000. Now this was totally my fault because he didnt hold a gun to my head, but it was amazing to me how it happened and how slick he was at it. I was soooo ashamed about this for awhile, but I figure he'el get his eventually. Thank god I learned my lesson there, becuase I found out through a couple gay friends of mine that he nalied another guy for 2 grand...

Never - EVER - give anyone money you do not expect to lose.

Everybody makes mistakes David. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Oh it's ok. I learned a lesson. But thank you for the support. I appriciate it.

Oh god...

I was conned by my ex-roommate, whom I wouldn't piss on if he was on fire. And I was conned by the smarmy SOB who sold me this car I've got. Suffice it to say, I'll never have a car financed again, nor will I buy anything on credit. If I can't afford to pay cash, I don't need it. That's my new motto.

I'm a bit surprised to hear you say that. :D

I dunno, I've gotten used to it. I honestly didn't run up huge credit card bills by going on a shopping spree...it was all to pay this psychotic ex-roommate who thought the world revolved around him. And to pay to keep this car, which was marked up to twice what it was worth, which was the real reason my bank wouldn't finance it...not because "I had no credit" as the car salesman said. Instead, Ford Credit financed it at 19% interest. But it's okay, because it's almost paid off now. You can bet your sweet, sweet ass I won't make that mistake twice.

You know, my only waterloo as far as spending money goes is fast food. Aside from the fact that I'm 30 pounds heavier than I was a couple of years ago, that **** is expensive! I'm trying to learn how to cook.

You know what is a good alternative. Buy frozen dinners. The portions are fair sized and many, like Garden View Lasagne, are really good - plus, they are like $3.00. Also, take a homemade sandwhich and your own soda to work. You can save like $100 a month that way.

Well, I've started buying Banquet TV dinners for 89 cents.

But there are times when I absolutely *crave* cheeseburgers. They're like big, greasy crack rocks. I have no energy when I eat like that, and yet I can't seem to completely stop.

Yikes

Another fast food eater here. I've sesly had it up to *here* with fast food though. I'm sick of Jack in the Box, Whataburger, Sonic, McDonalds, Burger Street, etc. Ugh. I have tried to start eating at home more, but it's difficult since I don't like to cook and I suck at it anyways. I had a Totinos pizza yesterday (those are good and CHEAP! ) and last week, I made rigatoni. I'm so freakin' picky though, I hate everything! LOL I've recently discovered Lipton noodle soup that I love, so I've been making that once a week or so. I only eat once a day usually, then snack the rest of the time.

Anyways...about the money situation. I've never loaned lots of cash to anyone..well, once, to a close friend, but he paid me back and I trust him completely. :)
